I've been searching for a while (couple weeks at least), other than ePay, I have come up dry. Since I cant get the TT fronts right now, I may opt for a set of D-T and try the foam safe glue.

For D-T, nitro rears and electric fronts, right?

FYI:
The TT fronts are not the way to go. I got them and they are identical to the B4 fronts. The TT rear wheels are perfect, but for the front go with the Duratrax ones, Jeff just got a shipment in of them and we checked them and they are like the B3 fronts!

Those are white front wheels for the B3! These keep the offsets front and rear identical to the way the RC10 CE and Worlds car's suspension was designed to work, for those of us who liked the way it performed back then and even today with the B3 front and rear offsets.

I have a set of the duratrax myself, and haven't noticed any issues. Now the grocery store CA didn't stick well, probably just need to rough up the bead mounting area reglue. I also don't race anywhere regularly, but I think that staying off the boards will do the most for durability....

Wheels should be cleaned (even brand new ones) before applying any type of adhesive to bond the tires. This also applies to the rubber tire bead as well.
This is to remove any mold release that may still be on the wheels.
A good way to clean this is to use normal $1.00 to $2.00 alcohol you can buy anywhere (smells better than using a motor spray too), put it in a spray bottle and hit the rim and inside bead of the tires and wipe them clean. Don't be surprised by the amount of mold release that you will see coming off of the tire as it will turn your rag a deep brown color.

thanks ruffy...I've been trying to make these things stick for a while. The alcohol is the trick... 8)

I just posted a question about mounting Jconcepts Barcodes on the original B3 fronts (9481Y) and was told they wouldn't fit properly... the wheels are too narrow for newer style tires changing the tire profile. Would I have the same problem with the Duratrax wheels? If so, what tires would give me the proper fit? Duratrax tires only?

If I stick with the TT fronts, what problems will I have with the suspension? Please explain to me the importance of offset (aside from clearance issues) and how it affects the front and rear of the car.

I cant explain what it will do to the handling, but I can tell you it narrows the front track.

Sure as hell as others said in this thread, the Duratrash wheels started cracking around the edges. They are garbage, I'm sorry to say. I'm not running brushless or high powered gear, but I did get into a normal number of crashes and incidents while indoor carpet racing my B3. All of my rear Duratrash wheels now have cracks and this front one, think it holds the bearing in very well? :?

edit: Duratrash pictures

I understand the offset and track width. But the effects on the suspension? Is it offset (backspacing) and the center line off the king pin that screw things up?

Ruffy, you have confirmed what I discovered this week. I ordered a set of the TT front wheels and to my dissatisfaction found them to be near identical to the B4 front rims. I have the Duratrax front wheels but they are cracking and are narrow. I like the wider fronts.

Is it confirmed that the TT rear wheels are the same offset as the original RC10 but obviously for use with a 3/16" axle? Did you say you found another set of fronts that will work with the older car besides the Duratrax?

I used the RC10GT wide inline axles and this seemed to take care of the offset issue with the TT/B4 fronts wheels but I'd really prefer to just have a proper offset wheel instead. One that is wide like the modern wheels. The only 2 direct fit 2.2 options I've seen so far are the fragile Duratrax and the nice 5 star JC Racing. Unfortunately they are both the standard narrow width.
