If you're going to use an Associated Nissan body it probably won't fit under the body. I'm not sure how they hid the antenna on the box-art car.

Yes, I do plan on using that body. I'm going to try to cut the antenna tube down a bit more when I get the body and find out if I can make it fit. If not, I'll figure something out. :D

How did it work out for you?

to bad you couldnt find a chassis without those extra drill holes. Are you going to use them for anything? great build though. cant wait to see the end result!

if you want a chassis without those extra holes i might possibly be willing to let go of this.

but its a big maybe lol

P.M. me if you want to discuss

Thanks! Your method turned out great, when I tear it back down, I'm going to grab one of these http://www.lowes.com:80/pd_59494-98-9292_0__?productId=1093773&Ntt=sanding+block&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dsanding%2Bblock&facetInfo= to better sand the chassis. There were some pretty deep scratches in it and I think I can do a better job. I also need to polish up the top plate and t-bar a bit more. The condition of the car when I got it was unfortunate. 5 extra holes and deeply scratched as I said. I have no idea what these holes were used for. When I get the T-1X, I'll try to hide them using the esc and clever on/off switch placement. PM sent on the chassis.

Here are a few pics of the glass nerfs that were on this car when I bought it. Now that I look at them, they're not too far gone. :D I may sand down and even out the edges on them and use them on the car. If I did use them, I think I would want to find a glass front brace so everything matched.

You could probably save those but i could make you some new ones. Next time i order some g10 fiberglass i will make a few and let you know. I will look and see if i have enough scrap to make some tomorrow. I have a few pieces laying around. The material is pretty darn cheap on mcmaster.com. im ordering some soon so i will let you know.

I might have to take you up on that. I may also require your chassis building skills with two custom projects I have in the works. An RC10SCT conversion and a 1/8 4WD (possibly) pan car project.

Small update. I bought a Novak T-1X for the project. It's in amazing condition. I haven't mounted it yet because I still need to do some more work on the chassis but I couldn't resist taking a few pics. Now if I could just find some old Sanyos……
