Ok, here is my newly finished project. Thanks for the info and insight.

I went with the Custom Works hub option.

I was able to take the car to the track this last Saturday. Out of the gate, it impressed me and all others that were there. It is so fun to race vintage stuff (somewhat modernized) and see other people's expressions.

The car handled very well. I love the big bore shocks. I need to put in some shock limiters to reduce some droop, but overall, the car handled very well.

The only other tweak is to check into the steering and button that down a little better as it seemed to under-steer.

FYI, I've successfully drilled an upper pin hole in the RPM 70272's so you can mount them high or low just like the losi's/cw. Just pinned them together through the existing hole, put a long 4-40 through the two turnbuckle mounts to hole them steady. Obviously, a good drill press, and a quality 1/8 reamer is necessary to get it done perfectly.

What size bearings on the custom wotks hub? I have a few sets coming to use with the b44 cvd.

Just to confirm its 3/16 x 3/8 × 4 bearing size

thanks

Yes, this is the correct size of bearings for CVDs with 3/16 axles.
