Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
i like the green too, but i also like the thought of a dark metallic blue. the blue would be my pic, i am a sucker for the FT blue accents.
you wont be disappointed by dipping into the associate pool. i have often thought about getting a Losi car

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
Other than a few Tamiya cars, 1989 I bought My first real Race car. it was a RC10 New in the box. But a friend of mine who I raced with every week, won every week with a Proformance Jrx2. I got tired of loseing so I bought it from him. I still have it, and have had Losi's ever since. their cheaper and easer to work on, in my opinion. I give you all a hard time but the RC10 is cool.

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
Gotta agree with MONSTER. Those tubs are pretty cool looking as-is. Those scratches on the gold one where the steering servo goes would kind of bug me, but it looks like a servo will cover them up. I'd probably use either one as they are and not repowder anything.MONSTER wrote:I LOVE that Green Chassis!! Please dont Re-Annodize it. Someone like me, who likes "patina", would kill for that Chassis, in that condition...well, maybe not "kill", but Id almost certainly ruff some folks up for it.![]()

But if you do repowder, that orange is awesome.

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
I was going to repowder coat it green so it would be the same? I guess dont understand? the cut one is going to be orange.
Well this goes for anybody, if you want the green chassis I will trade it for any fixable chassis? any color as I am going to powder coat what ever chassis I build?

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
I think they're just saying that the chassis look good enough in their worn condition so don't go to the trouble of getting it powder coated. I say powder away! After all it's your only RC10 (so far) so make it the way you want it!

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
rick, are you planning on building an rc10 to run, or to have a nice example to sit on the shelf? i guess since your talking about powder coating 2 chassis', your building one of each?

Right now sitting on the shelf, I have a nice 10T I got from JK. I want to powder coat a nice orange chassis for that and I want to build this buggy. then I am done for a while!!scr8p wrote:rick, are you planning on building an rc10 to run, or to have a nice example to sit on the shelf? i guess since your talking about powder coating 2 chassis', your building one of each?

But that thought did go away, right??vintage AE wrote:i have often thought about getting a Losi car

Seriously the orange would look nice, but I'm confused if you need 2 chassis for one car... If the green one is going to get run I wouldn't bother getting it re-coated, but that's just me.
Good luck!

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
No I am only doing 1. the green one is bent up I am going to try and straighten it, if not I will use the cut chassis. one is going to be my buggy chassis and if the powder coater does a good job I am going to do the other one for my 10T. the only way I would do another one is if the parts car I am going to look at is nicer than what I have? then I might build a runner out of the cut chassis.

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
Well I am still waiting on the powder coater? so I got all of the parts together and put them in a box so their some what organized? thanks to a lot of guys on here I think I will have a nice car. no were near stock but nice all the same? here are the parts I have been collecting. the body is a Protech I am thinking of stripping the shocks and just polishing them? I think it will look good with the metalic Blue chassis and black parts? what do you think?
Re: Losi Guy building Rc10
Sweet, i see you got the parts from me. I hope those shocks will work for you, if not, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
