Re: My new driver ! (updated pics with Pro body 8-26-09)
I know she is not the most flashy body but I won this one on Ebay with the wing, buttons and wire for $36. It will be used as a runner. I also installed XX rear hubs being that they seem to keep the rear tires and rims more stable. I think it is because the plastic is softer on the original hub carriers, allowing for more wheel play. Either way now the back end seems to have almost the integrety of my XXX. I wanted to use the XXX rear hub carriers but this would require a longer CVD. I went to the local hobby store to try to find one a tad longer but there were none to be found As for the front XXX carriers and spindles I had previously installed, it took awhile for me to figure out how to elimitate the bump steer. All has been engineered to work correctly now with zero bump steer noted I am thinking about keeping the wing clear, I am open to opinions on weather I should paint it or add stickers but we all know wings take a huge beating on runner cars. I still plan on buying a body or 2 when Brandon G has them to sell.
I am also looking to purchase (2) old style Losi shock clamps (the narrow version) if anyone has a couple used or not, I would be happy to purchase them from you.
Thanks for looking !

Aw man! I was watching that body on ebay and totally forgot about it when it ended. Dang! It looks really great...nice buggy!
Re: My new driver !
Do the XXX carriers make the front end 1/2" wider when combined with the use of the RPM JRXT front truck arms, or 1/2" wider even with the stock arms?m2fit4u2 wrote:Well it looks like I do not have to worry about tranny issues Thanks for all of your replys.
DHC6 - The XX carriers narrow the front end, but like I mentioned above, I discovered that the XXX carriers will work too, this setup will make it 1/2 inch wider than stock. The XX front end you lose almost 1/2 inch. You do need to use the XXX king pins and drill out the lower carrier hole to 1/8 inch.
How did you mount the lexan to your chassis? That is a good idea. I would like to know more about how you went about doing this.
Looking for a solution that allows 2.2" wide fronts with stock width and hopefully reasonable geometry..

Why do you want the narrow ones? everybody seems to want them but I take them off of all of my runners. they brake so eash I never understood the draw?m2fit4u2 wrote: I am also looking to purchase (2) old style Losi shock clamps (the narrow version) if anyone has a couple used or not, I would be happy to purchase them from you.

Re: My new driver !
I actually take them off my runners too, but I need a couple for some shelf queens that I like to keep accurate with how they come out of the box. In terms of function, the old narrow clamps do not work as well as you clearly state as well.
