Re: Tamiya to re-release the bruiser
Looks like ebay has taken care of my problems. I went to go pay yesterday and it wouldn't let me because the auction was pulled. So, I guess something really was up. I got an invoice today (I think from ebay, not the seller) to pay, I clicked on it to see if I even could pay (I wasn't going to) and sure enough I couldn't. No big deal. I'll wait. I'm not in a rush, I just thought that seemed like a heck of a good dea. I'm sure someone else will have them for that price, or better.

Here's the latest news that I could find on the new Bruiser: http://tamiyablog.com/2012/02/first-tamiya-58519-toyota-4x4-pick-up-bruiser-rn36-impressions/

Re: Tamiya to re-release the bruiser
I still can't believe its actually being rereleased. I have an rc4wd bruiser clone, so first up on my shopping list is the body, but eventually I'd like to pick up the full kit.

Re: Tamiya to re-release the bruiser
Well!..... We got 2 Bruiser's in the store (PM Hobbycraft) yesterday. $759.00 CDN is still too steep for me!
However one is sold and the other has a guy on the fence!
At that price I think I would rather find a nice gently used original on eBay!
Not impressed ! Can you tell?

Re: Tamiya to re-release the bruiser
Well I think tamiya was smart this time on keeping the price up they should have done that with the scorchers and rough riders.

Re: Tamiya to re-release the bruiser
At least with the Scorcher, it was a very good copy of the original! With the Bruiser, it's not even close looking, with the transmission and motor!

No, you build it all. Looks very cool. Check out Tamiyausa.com. There is a guy doing a build with pics and notes-he's almost done.CNA75 wrote:Do you know if the transmission is pre-built in the new ones?

Re: Tamiya to re-release the bruiser
that's a decent price at PM.. 3hrs up North they've got them for $799.
I picked up a pair of OG Bruisers last week.. just need to add electronics and clean them up a bit.

Re: Tamiya to re-release the bruiser
Well, I went and pulled the trigger on a new Bruiser. The owner of my LHS gave me a deal I couldn’t pass up (must mean I’ve spent my quota this year
). Just like everybody else that’s buying these things I’ve wanted one since I was ten. For the price I probably could have found a decent OG Bruiser but there’s just something special about building a "new" kit and I really don’t need another resto project. Build thread to come soon…
