Re: RC10LC - IFMAR 1996 On-Road Worlds Special
Like I mentioned earlier, the only reason for making this NIX car was to get a RC10LC size Runner. And one for my friend as well.
Let the original RC10LC's be on the shelf. Running those was little too scary.

Thanks.
It's a copy of prototype body #6139 Nissan 96 GTP.
One original can be seen in the first photo of this topic.
I made a plaster cast of it and vacuum formed a few bodies out of PETG.

niki, mark pavidis' 1996 associated rc10l2 NATIONALS ride. after a bit of discussion with niki, and some schooling with mike swauger, this is the rc10l2 (which it also debuted at) that was raced at the nationals. the same venue as the previous 1996 ifmar worlds at Revelation Raceway.

Nice, nice... one of the first L2's.
RC10L2 was the last 235mm wide pan car Team Associated ever(/so far) produced. Too bad. With lipos and brushless motors these true Pro10's are fantastic cars.
I have one original L2 equipped with lipo saddle packs (2S) and 5.5T brushless. It's always a joy to drive it on a decent size outdoor racetrack.

Re: RC10LC - IFMAR 1996 On-Road Worlds Special
NIX car is now equipped with B44.2 battery cradle. Perfect fit. No more struggle with tape.
Car is now sold to my friend so I have to build a new car. Wonder what it would look like...

Now it's ready for coming indoor season. My friend is going to have it tomorrow. I'm sure he likes it

NIX10LC Evo2 rear end will look something like this...
I think there is going to be more than enough suspension options when making the rear like this:
T-bar loose/side shocks with springs
T-bar spring/side shocks without springs
T-bar spring/tubes instead of shocks

The RC Car Action issue that shows the then upcoming RC-10L3 Oval and touring cars also features a wide RC-10L3 announcement (with picture)...except the car was never made.Niki wrote:Nice, nice... one of the first L2's.
