I put a long screw through them and chucked that into a drill. I then wet sanded them while spinning under the kitchen sink. For the flat surfaces, I used a file, and for the wing wire hole, I used a body reamer. I decided not to polish them because it just would not look right, but I could of "mirrored" them if I wanted.

I am constantly scanning ebay for TRX-1 items that will "spice up" my buggy. (especially the elusive motor plate.....garrrrrr). Anyways, I have always been on the lookout for the Thorp tranny gear set which changes the internal gear ratio from 2.14 to 2.25 (same as stealth tranny).

Haha, ain't that the truth. I'm trying to make myself sell the nitro hawk that I bought (needed the front blue shocks for the buggy), but a large part of me wants to clean it and give it a spin. You know, to "increase it resell value". We all know what will come next.........

If you have an RC track nearby (oval track that is) give it a try. You'll be keeping it . These things were great on an oval and even greater on a banked oval. Offroad...not so much. Unless you liked replacing tranny idler gears.

Finally got the receiver and esc in. Boy oh boy, was placing that receiver a big PITA. The TRX1 body is very low on the sides, so it basically limited my receiver to, just the center line. Anyways, the Parma servo saver had to go so I could make more room-----with 1mm to spare until it touches the body (servo is the same way haha). It's all in there (except for the motor...still looking for that plate!) and it looks great. Just need to take care of that giant strand of spaghetti (antenna)

I was very sleek about hiding that 2 foot antenna (scheesh!). Took a bit of creativity!

Mounting the dang receiver was not easy. It almost seemed impossible with the very low sitting body. I needed to mount the receiver in a way not to make the body bulge. I had to remove the vintage Parma servo saver (dang!) and re-route the servo link (better geometry now though). End result, it all just barely fits!!
