Duplicates would be the ultimate, but I don't think I'd buy another Kinwald kit if I saw one - I'd want to leave it for someone else to enjoy. If you have two then leaving one NIB makes sense.

Thing is, you have to keep this whole vintage R/C collecting thing in perspective, it only really offers any interest to a very small percentage of people - & I doubt whether in two hundred years time anyone would be too bothered if they found a Losi XX Kinwald whether it was sealed NIB or not? In the grand scheme of things, these R/C cars of ours do not offer THAT much historical importance - so we should as individuals, or as a collective group, enjoy our cars how we see fit because it is this generation only that will fully appreciated them with the memories & excitement that they install.

Completely agree Dan, for me it's build it and share with the forum for others to enjoy also. We should be lucky we are the generation that raced through the early rears of RC racing and the history attached to it.

I need to start this build soon!

Right, this car is nearly on the table. I've ordered a new graphite pivot plate as the one in the kit looks plastic and doesn't have the graphite logo on it.

I want to try and keep this a stock build, but my question is should I at least add a trinity front and rear brace to it? Or not bother? I know the blue of the motor plate is nowhere near that of the Trinity blue, so it might look a little odd. Hmm.

I think you should go stock all the way, I would have built it as if I got it for xmas!! I would also have tried to find the correct era electrics.

But this is your build, do whatever makes it fun!

Good point, not a fan of electrics though - I could stretch to a motor perhaps, not sure what Dirtinator motor would be period correct for the car though, D2?

I'll probably skip the trinity bits, all my cars are kitted out that way already.

Its always worth a look on Dan's site - he seems to regularly update it with new stock... he even has some of the rare front arms (original Losi & RPM) in at the moment! :D
