I can’t get my stick packs under the rear bulkhead, and then share the two straps, and it’s also a little tight to the servo. Assume because sticks have longitudinal cell arrangement v perpendicular.
You have the original version of the topcat/cougar rear bulkhead they did a running change on the cougar to accept packs with cells made up side by side aswell as longitudinal.
They included the later version in both the rere topcat and cougar so you maybe able to change the rear bulkhead to the rere style to make your pack work with one battery cradle.

I used the battery set up from one of the new Cougars (Laydown I think) and existing holes with some standoffs like suggested on my o.g. Cougar build.
Nice buggy- never seen anyone run the front arms back to front like that do they actually work that way round?

I won an original Storm (not the 2000) off of ebay. It looks to be mostly complete from the pictures. It was an auction that I just threw a bid on and didn't expect to win it at all. But since I won it I'm interested in converting it to a cougar...

Option is still there to combine the two and sell the Storm with solid layshaft rather than slipper... not like you could sell it for less than you got it for!
Hi all, new to this board but hoping for some help.
I am trying to track down a new shell for my Storm 2000 & also a gear cover (same as Cougar 2000) been hunting high and low for a long time but still no joy, any suggestions would be greatly...
Got super lucky on this one.......I think.
Judge for yourself......showed up on the bay and I had to snag it.
I will post more pictures when I actually get it and can clean it up.
Looks like some choice parts in this mess.

Surprised nobody mentioned the nerf bars. I recently got a set of wintage ones for my car. Mine are the same, but they are two separate pieces. It doesn't go all the way across like yours does. I'd think the way yours was manufactured would mage for...
I figured I would show the mess as it is right now during all these builds I am completing. How many RC10s can you count? The stock JRX2 build is the one lower right sitting on the box, hope to have that one done tomorrow.
Have a safe night, the...

Tonight I bought a hotplate for $19.00 to dye my parts in the basement. I have been using the grill outside, but it never got the water to a good boil.

do you have some sort of screen to keep the parts off the bottom which could warp parts???
I use a wire to hold it in the air.
As for the blue potatoes, I figured it was safer to take my chances without using the potato gauge.
I had an extra pair of Hot Trick style chassis support blanks laying around and an MIP SP1 trans that I had rebuilt, and somehow that turned into a complete build. Kind of road race or modified style with a cut down Scorcher body and a set of TRC...

I got the wing cut, bent, and test fit. It came out well. I love the little M2 nylon hardware.
