Digitcon F40 Hobby Grade Conversion

This is a Digitcon RC Ferrari F40 that I converted to hobby grade electronics. It has an RC6S receiver, $3.50 esc, and old futaba servo. I don't know much about this car, there is basically no information that I could find on google. Anyways, some build photos:

Painting the trim and vents matt black

New badge stickers

That's it, really. Nothing much to this one. I will say that I does awesome drifts in high gear and is not lacking torque.

Looks to be a slightly modded Hot Shot but with twin shocks at each end but it's really totally different. Battery is mounted long ways up the chassis. Twin diffs that is shaft driven by...

I bought one last year just weeks before a big vintage race. Worked on it like a devil to get proper electronics in, bearings throuhout, replacement of the broken body, and a simplified shock setup with oil-filled units.
It was actually great fun...

I know some of you guys have converted old Nikko or radio shack Rc cars to hobby grade electronics. What did you use to do so?

I have these that I would love to make run again.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys. I’m definitely not looking for more speed as the suspension would never be able to cope with the extra power anyway, but i thought it would be fun to have the running again and let my son run them.

Hi at all,

i find this Missiler and i see the tyre set are not the original set.
This tyre set surely are hobby grade, probably the front rims are the Tamiya grasshopper? I'm not shure.
Whre i can find a tyre set like this one? It's for a restoring...
