Shodog’s DR10
Picked up an RTR DR10 today at the hobby shop. They had a few hop ups for B5 that I picked up also. I’m running a 3s lipo and with the Stock 3300kv I wish it was faster. Having said that I’m still happy with it. I want try faster brushless set ups in it. https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/gg131/...

Re: When to say when....how do you guys determine when to sell and move on
I keep my interest level up by having a few different types of vehicle. You’ll loose interest if you pigeon hole yourself to just few cars. Most of my cars are long term projects that are never really finished. I’ll come across some new part to either upgrade or replace a worn part. Stick it in a bo...

Re: Enqyiry of Super Champ
I doubt that tamiya will rere the fighting buggy. I can see your disappointment as eBay sellers are asking more for a nib fighting buggy than what you can buy a vintage Super Champ for.
You could ask around on the Facebook forums and see if someone has one to sell

Ohh that’s gonna leave a smell. Just used the oven bake method to rescue a set of proline Road Hawgs from some mis matched wheels. I baked them at 375 for 20 minutes

Re: Buggy and truck chassis the same?
Like rc10th said, you’re going to pay a lot of money for parts. An RC10’s parts are worth more individually than buying a whole car. I wish you good luck on your endeavor.

Re: Ford v Ferrari (spoiler alert)
I’ve seen both Ford versus Ferrari and the 24 hour war. Both movies were killer. I didn’t know about Ken Miles so I was bummed about the ending of the film. The 24 hour war was super interesting. A definite watch.

You need to take some stack out of area between the knuckle and ball end. Drop the links and make them almost parallel to the arms.

Re: Shodog's HPI Mini RS4 build.
Since my last update in 2016, I’ve picked up parts for this build. I had my HPI box and tools out from a HPI Rally project so I was able to install my parts stash on this car tonight. This car started out as a sport mini to which I added Carbon fiber upper and lower chassis, shock towers and transmi...

That’s a perfect car for a runner. I would put a modern 2.4 ghz radio but stick with a mild brush or brushless motor

Re: Tamiya Bruiser ends again?
I waffled on buying one of these. It’s hard to justify one when I have a vintage new build to finish and another one to restore. In the end I just couldn’t pass up one at this price. From what I’ve seen, the rere is so much more improved over the original. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/sh...

I still go to sheldons but not as much as I used to. Not much RC10 stuff left really. NorCal is all about new stuff, no vintage. I like JJ customs which is great for crawler stuff

Re: Question about RC10 rebuild costs
If you want a bulletproof runner then get something new that your hobby shop stocks spares. That way you don’t have to worry when you break it.
As for your RC10 just stock up on rear arm mounts, steering knuckles and uprights. Those are the items that usually get broken in the course of running.
