thanks again guys.well spotted they are rere arms probably should have mentioned that :oops: ,sounds like its the cause of my problems (they really ought to ban idiots like me from using t'internet) ordered some unflanged bearings hopefully they will sort it, if not its gonna be dremel time :shock:

well after being let down by rc supplier on ebay i finally got my money back and reordered the parts from wheelspin models they arrived but unfortunatly dont fit IMAG0145small.jpg dont know if its clear from the photo but the hole in the stub axle is too close to the face of the bearing so it doesnt...

ive ordered the kyosho hex adapters now so hopefully i will get them sometime soon and i can try it out then,if my cut down kyosho dogbones sleeved to fit the tamiya ujs dont work ill try your method as its probably better but as ive allready cut down a set of brand new dogbones ill give these a go

thanks 1300gt plenty of clearance on those,thinking about it i will probably go for the adapters you mention as thats probably cheaper than buying new wheels and tyres and will give more options down the line,how did you hook the kyosho stubs to your srb box ? im not 100% my approach will work

yes the stub axles are rere skorpion but ive allready bought the tamiya type alloy hex adapters for this so im hoping to use them

thanks jwscab,the measurment would be great if you could. the photos in the link you posted make the wheel look like the hex is toward the outside face

thanks ,they look like they might but i cant be sure as they dont actually have the meusurment i need stated .my current wheels that dont fit are around 30m.m from the rear face of the wheel that sits against the hex to the inside edge of the wheel that hits the swingarm,im looking for something in ...

not been on for a while amongst other things ive been building this IMAG0134a.jpg IMAG0135a.jpg its obviously a work in progress i just got the driveshafts cut down, alloy sleves epoxied on and bolted into tamiya uj's and went to fit a set of std dt02 buggy rear wheels (from the beach buggy kit) and...

yes that is helpful thanks,i went with the ones i had but messed it up at the last minute (rushing) the 1 mm smaller belleville explain why i couldnt fit the three fixing screws in the way they did,may try again with what ive got .
btw im assuming the driveshaft's on these are steel or are they ally?

no unfortunatly i dont know the sizes but ive found a cheaper uk supplier (6 pence each instead of £3.90) they didnt have bellevilles in stock but they had disc springs which they describe as thin bellevilles approx 1/2 the thickness 0.3mm. these came in a smaller od of 6mm,the smallest bellevilles ...

getting the bits together to try to make my own take on the mip ball diff,it wont be a replica as im basing it on a tamiya aftermarket brass gear. ive found a supplier for the belleville washers and am guessing there approx 2-2.5mm id and 5-6mm od but at aprox £5 each plus postage i dont really want...

the fourth one down with the drilled chassis is the type of thing i remembered seing tho i think there was one even more heavily drilled but i cant seem to find it

thanks mikea,sorry for being vague. i was looking for the cut down/drilled tubs i thought ide seen a factory or team car somewhere that had been drilled and cut which i liked the look of. dont really want to start cutting down and drilling a tub unless i can copy an existing pattern done by someone ...
