Re: Kyosho Nostalgic Series Daytona Cobra Project
Thanks Tamiyadan for the feedback as well. You have a good point on the restoration sprial and I will keep that in mind. If I can get this to a functional vehicle, albeit not perfect, that will still be a fun project. To your point, I certainly don't want to invest gobs of money on a clunker. I just...

Re: Kyosho Nostalgic Series Daytona Cobra Project
Does the bag contain all of the parts that are missing from the chassis? By the looks of it you've got the very hard to find side chassis extenders, so that's one good thing. Keep in mind that a gas car will need cut-outs in the body to keep the engine cool. Be careful to only buy GP Spider Mk. I p...

Kyosho Nostalgic Series Daytona Cobra Project
I picked up a very rough Kyosho Daytona that I intend to try and revive. Planning to try and strip the paint on both sides of the body using Dot 4 brake fluid. If anyone has any other suggestions on paint removal, let me know. This is my first venture into nitro also, so that should be a new challen...

Re: New member from Fort Worth, Texas
Thanks for the welcome. Here are my first projects that I will be working on in the near future. Trying to decide if I want to keep the black parts on the gold pan or try to source white parts which would be my preference for a nice display piece. http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a628/Dmtonne/444...

Re: Planned RC10 restorations
The gold pan is in pretty good condition. I do wish it had the white arms etc. instead of the black, but pretty pleased overall.

Boxes are #6011 and #7011DaveM wrote:Hi,
Nice pair!
Does the buggy box have a 6010 or 6011 label on the ends of the box?
Could you post a pic of the label if it not either of those?

Re: Anyone tried this? Yellowed parts white
I'll be giving this a try on my first two RC10s that I am planning to tear down and restore. Thanks to the OP and for the other feedback throughout this thread, super helpful!

Planned RC10 restorations
I recently purchased an RC10 and RC10T, both with original boxes. Planning to strip these down for a good cleaning, and restoration. The gold pan most likely will end up in my office with a vintage Futaba stick radio for a nice display piece. http://i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a628/Dmtonne/e4fdbad1...

We could never afford the cool RCs when I was a kid, so after a few years of being in RC I have finally started looking for some of those oldies. Looking forward to joining this forum!
