Re: Rc10L cleanup
I really like the simplicity of the 10L. The chassis is cleaned and rebuild, next I have to install electronics.
I will probably keep the Novak T4 if it still works, with a mild brushed motor.

Thanks, it's even more impressive with the bumper mounted.
Those cars are really easy to rebuild.

This will be very cool. I never saw a white 78, I think in Europe they are all black and gold.vsefiream wrote:Fantastic! I plan on painting my '78 Trans Am white with these decals in a year or two

Thanks. All the parts have been whitened in an hydrogen peroxide bath under the sun. http://nsm08.casimages.com/img/2014/07/04/14070409464717236512365294.jpg Then all aluminium parts have been cleaned and slightly polished. http://nsm08.casimages.com/img/2014/07/04/14070409470617236512365295.jpg

Rc10L cleanup
Hello, I picked up a dusty Rc10L on ebuy. It came with a novak T4, Sanwa-Airtronics controller, a race pre motor, an horrible Mercedes body, the box and few miscellaneous parts. http://nsm08.casimages.com/img/2014/07/04/14070409462417236512365293.jpg http://nsm08.casimages.com/img/2014/07/04/1407040...

Re: Project "RC10 Stealth 4" (June 8th, 2014 updated)
Great job, I like the idea of the RRP idler gear. The original Stealth idler bearings are 9.5mm OD, wasn't it possible to bore out the hole to 10mm and use 10x5x4 bearings ?

Re: Scr8p's Worlds Re-re Build
Here in France we can't have replacement top shaft, I had to hack a tamiya tool.
And of course drill a bigger hole in the case.

Thanks.
Next, I instaled a second ball bearing (850) in the rear arms to reduce the slop of the rear wheels.

Re: Sand Scorcher 2010 OIN
Hornet tires are way better than the original sand padles, more agressive thread, softer...but still harder than any modern tires. I think it's harder than the Proline M2 compound. Btw there is not so many choices with the original 1.5 rims.
I'm working on a mod to fit 2.2 Holeshot M3.

Tubes and fittings are Dubro exhaust pressure nipplets and classic silicone tubing for Nitro fuel. For precision drilling by hand, I first drill a very small hole, check it perfectly centered and then enlarge it step by step. (1.5mm->2mm>2.5mm>3mm tap).
