Re: Anyone has experience with PR Racing SB-401R?
I've not seen the SB-401R but I do have their S1V3 kit. Top marks for the kit build and quality, it is a very nice with great parts. I have spares but nothing has broken yet. Minus points for the transmission FD ratio, it makes finding the right gearing much harder. Another big miss is that there ar...

Re: Another DR10 to RB10 conversion, now DR10/RB10/B5M/B6.4 Mashup
Ran in to another problem, my smallest esc would not fit between the battery and front bulkhead. After quite a bit of fiddling I gave up on the transverse mounted battery. A couple of hours later a new chassis brace popped out of the printer. There is plenty of room for the esc and rx now beside the...

Re: Another DR10 to RB10 conversion, now DR10/RB10/B5M/B6.4 Mashup
Oh, I can add yet another car that this monstrosity is using. DR10 trans internals, suspension with exeptions Dr10M front end, the bit that everything screws to. RB10 front tower, steering, probably motor and esc from a rtr. B5M trans case, rear tower, wing mount, rear arm mounts, v2 shocks B6.4 rea...

Re: Another DR10 to RB10 conversion, now DR10/RB10/B5M/B6.4 Mashup
A bit of a redesign. The carbon side braces were too high. Once the battery box was installed I found that the carbon sides made removing the battery strap very difficult. Also, I had to remove the left side to get the motor out. I went with cf filament for the transmission brace and the battery hol...

Working on the mongrel. I need to tear the gearbox apart and figure out what is rubbing in there.

Re: Another DR10 to RB10 conversion, now mid motor WIP
A few more pics. Here's all the test chassis that were printed while trying various thing out. 20230930_222733.jpg The hard part was of the design was getting every one of these holes in exactly the right spot for the front clip, transmission, and rear suspension mounts. I want everything tight so t...

Re: Another DR10 to RB10 conversion, now mid motor WIP
I ran in to a problem. I wanted a 280mm wheelbase. The printed test chassis had a 172mm wheelbase. If I extended the chassis 8mm then the rc10 protector body would not fit correctly. The solution was to add parts from yet another car, B6.4 rear arms, which are not swept forward like the rb10 arms. I...

Re: Another DR10 to RB10 conversion, now mid motor WIP
Fusion 360 for those who are interested. I created the models that have to fit existing parts by inserting a lens distortion corrected picture as a canvas then scaled it based on the screw hole spacing then tracing it on a sketch layer. First try success for everything but the motor plate, I could n...

Re: Another DR10 to RB10 conversion
So I like a challenge sometimes. I had built the DR10 to RB10 conversion car to race on carpet, it did pretty well. Then a B6.4 and a B74.1 followed me home and picked up the carpet duty. I'm a slave to impulse, what can I say? My local track unloaded the rental fleet of RB10 RTRs for dirt cheap so ...

Another DR10 to RB10 conversion, now DR10/RB10/B5M/B6.4 Mashup
A DR10 was sitting idle with only a dozen runs on it, each one ended with the car sliding on its roof. After reading this thread https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=114&t=47939 I started ordering parts. The chassis, shock towers, and front bumper were dirt cheap off of ebay. The v2 shocks, ...

Re: Building A RB10 From A DR10 Kit
Thanks for posting this. As it happens I have a DR10 shelf queen, as no one around here that I could find does no-prep racing. The chassis and shock towers were dirt cheap. I'll be using a Protector body and the team b6 shocks. I'll post an image when it's done. I've not raced in decades so I'm pret...

Re: Losi Mini B/Mini t 2.0
I finished my Losi mini B pro roller today. I used the Hobbywing 18A ESC, 7800KV 2030 motor, CHNL 650 70c 2s battery, and Radiolink R4FGM receiver (buried under the wire burrito), and Emax es08md ii servo. The servo does not work with the supplied AL servo horn. Additionally, the supplied servo moun...

Re: Losi Mini-B Flash Sale
You folks are terrible. First I was tempted into a cheap 144001, now it's the Mini B.
Ordered from Amain. I have not even looked at which motors will fit.

Re: RC10 Worlds re-re collection of files for 3d printing
I could make some adapters out for you if you want. I did knock the 3m uhb tape off. It was a hit hard enough to bend the nose tubes however, and the esc is really heavy with only a small contact area for mounting. Good speed controller, silly design. After hilariously failing to make hex adapters w...

Re: RC10 Worlds re-re collection of files for 3d printing
Search amazon for "Buggy Rubber Tires + 5 Spoke Wheel Rim", that's what I'm using, with the hex adapter linked in the 1st post . The tires and foams are extremely soft, reviews say the wheels are brittle but I've not killed one yet. I've not worked out a good solution to run these on the f...
