Loving the 'team Gru' special.
The retro bodys bring back memories from reading RC rags back in the day.

Short wheelbase T4
I guess the simple question is how much can you shorten a T4. A half inch or so would be plenty. Can you swap in a B4 chassis?
Just asking because I've got a body that would work much better on a shorter chassis.
LMK, thanks.

Back again! Now From NE Oklahoma.
Back again, now living in Bartlesville OK. I've got a Much modified RC10T originally ST, an original issue Worlds Car and a FT B3. I used to race my truck at MOHR in Aurora, CO back in the day, about 25 years ago (yikes). I'm ready for a new project, a short wheelbase T4 if such a thing is possible....

Re: are deans plugs the way to go
Well, its good to know that the cheap 'deans' on the bay are knockoffs. I've used ultra's on both motors and batterys for years with no regrets. I do think the 'Traxxas' connectors are the future of, at least, sport RC. Lastly, i've heard that removing/changing the connectors on LRP ESC's voids the ...

But they're nude!
Mine isn't ready for pix just yet. It's as built back then, I just got it a new front arm and some bearings. I think a new body and wing will be plenty, that is if I can figure out which ones.
So, I'll stick some pix in when i get it on the bench.

Nice Runner.
I really like the way you painted the body to show the chassis sides.

No white, gold or blue. Almost doesn't seem like an RC10 at all.

Its funny how bringing one of these oldies to the track will get the talk of vintage racing going.

Tranny Rebuild, bearing spacers and CVD's
It's been a little while since i've built a diff and replaced my trans gears in my old ride. Thats a much modded 10T sport for reference. First, whats the best lube to use on the internal gears? And should i clean the grease out of my new bearings and put something else in them? I just got the RPM r...
