Re: DSPPC EXP3 MID kit Cougar
For those that are interested in rendered pictures of the CAD files, here are some. Only the chassis has been modeled, as the original suspension components would be maintained. Some of the original parts have been measured and recreated in CAD, so the interference with other parts could be checked ...

Race ready Kyosho Lazer ZX.
Carbon fibre shock towers and top deck. Some custom made lipo shorty battery cradles and the blue steering bellcranks make this car ready for the track. Runs really smooth.

Futaba mc10 FET might be the right looking esc you are after...
I don't know how big they are, but do seem to be normal sized.

Re: What aftermarket springs work?
Yokomo bmax4 III springs are fairly short, might work but not sure. Other option would be to put downtravel limiters in the shocks.

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build
The mount for the shock tower does wobble a bit. I managed to decrease this by drilling a hole to connect it to the gearbox with a screw. Other option would be to design a new mount that mounts on the same points, but also rests on the front and rear of the gearbox. This would eliminate all the wobb...

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build
The easiest and most original way to do a comparable conversion would be to take the transmission of the nitro hawk or nitro buggy and create a custom motorplate to accommodate the electric motor. - I still haven't seen anyone else out there making a proper mid motor Traxxas conversion. Even the goo...

Re: Schumacher Bosscat Competition build
Really nice work. Will they be available to purchase through shapeways? I uploaded the parts to shapeways. These are the links to order the parts: Front Uprights: https://www.shapeways.com/product/97S94NZJV/schumacher-bosscat-uprights-set?optionId=162847394&li=shop-inventory Front Bumper: https...

Re: Schumacher Bosscat Competition build
Really nice work. Will they be available to purchase through shapeways? It would really depend on the amount of interest in these parts and this built. If there were more reactions of others who are also searching for these parts, I might look into the possibilities of opening a shapeways shop. How...

Re: Schumacher Bosscat Competition build
Got the parts in today. Really nice printing quality from shapeways.
Not yet fully assembled, but this is a nice front end:
Looking forward to seeing how this looks when mounted to the car.- Mon May 11, 2020 4:26 pm

Re: It's starting now (Apr2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10
I also need to figure out what I do with the center hole at the tip of the nose plate... as said, the nose plate hole is not threaded, and is too big. I could fit a nut on there, but the bellcranks hits it when turning left. I know it's a shelfer, so not critical but still. If someone has a good id...

Re: Schumacher Bosscat Competition build
The front end is starting to look like a cool custom one. I added two extra holes in the upright, of which one is meant for the longer threaded small bore shock I want to use. This shock is just a bit longer than the standard one. Just needs some finishing touches and a front boumper. See for yourse...

Re: Schumacher Bosscat Competition build
Well, since the parts I am missing are nowhere to be found, I could do the next best thing to complete this car: CAD (At least until the missing parts magically appear somewhere) I drew the bottom half of the gearbox to the dimensions of the broken one I had, this one was only missing the ears for t...

Here are some pictures of the condition of the car when I received it. It came together with a complete procat as shown, which is done already, just needs a body :D Screenshot_20200507-141255__01.jpg Screenshot_20200507-141241__01.jpg Screenshot_20200507-141300__01.jpg Screenshot_20200507-141305__01...
