Rc10 6-gear in modern astroturf
Anyone run a vintage RC10 on astroturf? I am thinking of bringing mine as a fun track experiment but I’m not sure if the 6-gear transmission would hold. The class is any 2wd buggy with 17.5t ROAR spec motor.

Re: Is it a NOVAK vintage ESC switch ?
Yes and the switch is actually really handy, not bulky like Tamiya on/off switches. Feels sturdy and good in the hands.

Vintage Futaba receiver & Novak ESC
Ive seen old receivers, but this one takes the cake. Even the connectors are a different style.
Not sure if this ESC is good. Never been a Novak user.

If you are going to run it take note, the rear battery compartment gets demolished on the first few runs. Find some way to protect it by adding foam or not installing it at all.

Ok the Edinger I bidded on is finally here

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Dusted off an M03 mini I had bought years ago. Installed a custom clipless body system (neodymium magnets) I had laying around. Tidied up the wires and printed a broken upright in ABS. Replaced the awful M03 pogo shocks with less awful M05 pogo shocks I had laying around. Now playing with soft sprin...

Yes treadwear is not bad, tires still have pins on them. I don’t see shock towers or A arms broken or anything. Only needs a good dusting and check transmission/shocks.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Hasn’t arrived yet but scored this Edinger from ebay for $240 total. Includes 7ribbed front tires, kyosho mega motor (14x2 version I suspect), vintage Novak esc, plus the box in great condition, among other goodies. Condition of the car remains to be seen since seller was selling it for parts not wo...

AE is owned by Thunder Tiger which has a reported annual revenue of 28M (2017). Losi is owned by Horizon Hobbies which had a revenue of 345M (2023). Horizon owns a bunch of other brands such as Axial and Arma so its not just Losi. Traxxas had a reported revenue of 25 to 50M. I’d say all three were f...

Re: Resurrect NiCd pack
Drove around with the lithium ion li-ion battery (round cell) for about 10minutes and they still had charge left. They got pretty warm but nothing extreme. Will experiment some more. The lightness really brought the truck to life, it felt super agile and sprightly. I may even replace the old Cirrus ...
