Re: RC car advice for christmas
I don't know if you have lipos or not, but I've heard good things about the 3s Arrma series like the Typhon. 1/8 buggy...just a thought. https://www.amainhobbies.com/arrma-typhon-v3-3s-blx-brushless-rtr-1-8-4wd-buggy-red-ara4306v3/p1250112 I'd definitely recommend Arrma 3S BLX products. I've had a ...

Re: CNC side work
Does anyone know if 3d printed shock towers would hold up on this Raco Roadrunner ? I think you'd be surprised on how strong 3D printed parts can be, especially the size of those pieces. If that is printed with .3mm Layer heights, solid fill layers and a little hotter than normal, you can lookup CN...

That kid had a great idea, I think I'll take a hockey stick to the track for turn marshalling.

Tamiya Legends on YouTube just restored a Ninja, he used a repo body and decals. You could look up his video on how it worked out for him.

Re: Wow modern buggies are fugly
For the same reason, seeing all these truggies being made with wheelwells that have no bearing whatsoever to where the wheels and tires are actually located just makes me gag. What's the point of even cutting wheelwells out when the wheels and tires are an inch or more forward or behind the cut-out...

Tamiya FF03 Chassis Dimensions help
Hey, I was wondering if someone on here with an FF03 chassis could do me a favor and measure the front overhang, I can't seem to find any dimensions online. I'm looking at a 257mm wheelbase body, with an 80mm center of front wheel to nose overhang. Attempting to scale the top view images it looks to...

Re: 1989 Florida State Race video
Nice racing.
I'm not sure why, but that racing looked more fun than modern racing. Maybe it;s just me, I tend to get the jump timing wrong or fly off the track.

Re: WLToys A959B Project that got out of hand
I didn't see that part of the forum, perhaps a mod can move this there.
I've been keeping an eye out for other childhood cars I had, the Tyco Turbo hopper and the twin motor Lamborghini they had. I'd like to pick up a clean copy and upgrade the electronics, suspension, etc.

Nice, I bet that does help the steering.
Yeah, the car was more fun out of the box then after I was done with it.

Re: WLToys A959B Project that got out of hand
I like that body with the roof scoop, did it come like that or did you add it on? I modeled and 3D printed that roof scoop. As a reference, this is what the car looks like stock, yes, it says "headphones" on the side. The Chinese version of Google translate must have some bugs in it. http...

WLToys A959B Project that got out of hand
I know this isn't "Vintage", but I thought I'd share this as a project that got out of hand, I'm sure some of you have similar stories. I bought a 1/18 WLToys A959B last December and a few runs in I broke a front A-Arm, so I thought Id just replace it with an aluminum arm, that lead to the...
