Re: gold tub to nitro rear end question...
Thanks, Ive built a few mid engine and rear engine rear cars, or my vettes with irs rears, I have seen both buckle and half shaft angles on these little cars we wouldnt have allowed on big cars, So i gotta remember these dont require what big cars do, I have considered doing a full custom made bulk ...

Re: gold tub to nitro rear end question...
Thanks, It would seem each builder goes the way he or she finds most promising, in achieving what they desire im here to gain food for thought which way to go with mine, where im not going for a "gold pan nitro" rather a custom nitro dirt oval outlaw, seeing what worked for others saves me...

Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle
Yeah, until the mid 70s pretty much any road racer ran either the torq thrusts or mini lites, but mini lites were very pricey even then, Im very old school and not much into the modern stuff, i would hit the RC track every weekend, i cant recall if it was fri or sat nite, this was when rc10 6 gear w...

Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle
Xlr8, Those 5 spokes you posted are a copy or idea of the American racing torq Thrust wheels one of the all time most popular wheels and seen on most late 60s early 70s road racers, which in most cases in the day were still limited to 8" wide some 9" i far from recall all the race regs of ...

Re: rc10gt desire help
Hacked or well engineered is a bit of perception, in a way, Some purists would say that anything at all not stock is a hack that ruined the car, my flares or 454 do not in my opinion ruin my 69, Im an old school gear head, before "ratrod" started to mean any pos painted flat black we calle...

Re: rc10gt desire help
Okay, Ty, When i suggest swaps im not one who cares if i do best, i care about just getting a part i need at times, So lets say i go with blue for DO project Its longer wheelbase could be hacked ahem fixed by cutting off its nose and using a buggy gold pan nose drilled for whatever wheelbase i desir...
