I just cleaned my magnesium parts in an ultrasonic cleaner (Branson 200) with tap water and mild dish soap. the corrosion and dirt is gone and the surfaces are now smooth to the touch. Why were there rubber gaskets under the bulkheads? Does anyone make replacements? I have a Composite Craft Lower deck that is 2.7mm thick and weighs 128 grams seems a lot stiffer that the Yokomo part that weighs 140 grams. Seem odd to me that the the thicker plate is lighter.
