Re: Franken Dead Pool DS-ish Car, restomod version

I forgot the cutouts in the chassis sidewalls to let me use the short wheelbase position, but some minor trimming took care of that. Now the wheelbase is a good match for the body. With the wide 7222 front axles installed, so is the front track width. . 1000011043.jpg . It's moving along nicely now....

Re: Franken Dead Pool DS-ish Car, restomod version

You should be able to move the rear arm mounts forward to shorten the wheelbase. Looks like you're in long wheelbase setup right now. I hadn't even noticed that was where I had the rear arm mounts. Thanks for spotting it. 👍 I'm also noticing the front is a bit narrow. A set of GT long front axles i...

Re: Franken Dead Pool DS-ish Car, restomod version

So that Futaba ESC that went up in smoke was 100% my fault. Reverse polarity is a bad thing. Oops. That's ok though, I really don't like the single speed reverse and wanted Lipo protection. The DS chassis setup is working pretty well... . 1000011036.jpg . ... until I see that it gives me too long of...

I don't do that with YouTube links because then they aren't viewable on my DuckDuckGo mobile browser.

Nice collection of part for the build. The gold motor guard is a nice addition. The factory graphite is my favorite version on RC10.

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?

After reading your previous post, I went back and had a closer look. My truck has two left arms. :( I could try to find a right arm but I can't be bothered. I'll just make a shallow notch so both sides have the same droop. I probably have an extra right arm, if that's the same as the GT or the T2. ...

FYI those aren't RC10T rear arms. They're one of the later trucks. These are T1.

I've been using the Phoenix nylon and am very impressed with the bonding and strength. It has normal nylon flex. I haven't tried their glass or CF nylon yet but the s is a very good product.

Re: Repairing Novak 4 esc _ what tools and what parts?

It seems like silver solder usually has a much higher melting temp snd doesn't fliw as well. I personally wouldn't use it for this. I'd use silver solder only for attaching wires to motor terminals, if I was going to use it.

Are you using something to hold the connector? Some type of clamp or clip? That will really reduce the frustration.

Re: rc12e - how to get started with it

What is the ground clearance supposed to be? Maybe the tires are worn down? The ground clearance back in the day was the minimum you could get away with without scraping/dragging (getting slowed down. On road oan cars are meant for smooth surface needing minimal clearance. The downside of truing th...
