Re: Steering servo for 1/10th buggy racing
They are digital now vs. analog... plus some are high voltage....extremely powerful, like10x more powerful than back then. Yours back in the day was probably .10 sec not .01....nothing goes that fast now that i know of. For racing get u a Savox 1257 or 1258 and call it a day....very reliable, power...

Steering servo for 1/10th buggy racing
25 years ago when I raced, all the pros used a KO FET steering servo. It was very quick for its time (something like 0.01 sec or something like that). Was is the steering servo to have today if racing competitively and how have servos developed since then?

This is awesome. Thank you. Now I can see the “Magic” is 11x3. Still pondering what the Black might be though.

Vintage Brushed LRP Motors - how many turns?
I used to race back in the 90's and can remember I used primarily two motors. One was an Orange Brushed LRP motor and the other a Black Brushed LRP motor. Do anyone know how many turns these motors were? I tried to search a bit on the net, but no luck so far. I also had an LRP motor called "Mag...

Re: NIX '91 and Yokomo '91/'93
Thank you very much for the info and link. It is very helpful. I also went through the pinned RC10 Stealth Car thread and I think I am getting a better understanding of the components and work behind the Stealth Car. Would love to have one, but I am not sure I am up for the project which it would ta...

Re: NIX '91 and Yokomo '91/'93
Welcome aboard. :D Tremendous understeer on an old school loose dirt track! Forget ribbed tires, go for an aggressive tread pattern or it just won't steer. I haven't ran mine much but that was my first impression. Thank you for the reply. Did you build up the bike yourself from scratch? Do you have...

Re: NIX '91 and Yokomo '91/'93
I've not driven one at this point but there are a number of guys that have. All of the parts can be found/purchased with the exception of the chassis set. You could in theory make your own from 3/32" aluminum or carbon fiber, but with carbon fiber you will need to figure out how to accomplish ...

NIX '91 and Yokomo '91/'93
Dear All, I am new to the forum even though I have been lurking around for a while. I used to race back in the 1980s and 1990s and the last car I had was a 2WD Losi XX. As many others of my generation, I was also very interested in the RC10 Stealth Car NIX '91 when it won in Detroit. I have seen sev...
