Re: Spoke with Joel and Mark
I don’t know either gent, but I did have a quite pleasant experience with Mark last year. Approached him (at an appropriate time I hope) and told the story of chatting with his Aunt and Uncle at the ’91 Sterling Heights (Detroit) Worlds. Also noted he received a warm response during introductions, u...

Re: Top speed?
I tried one of those Hot Wheels radar guns, never had much luck with it and lost interest. The Spektrum telemetry is only a calculated speed based on measured RPM and the tire size you input as I understand it. Problem is it doesn’t account for tire slippage, remember nearly the entire power of the ...

Seeing as I’m a little late, how about wishing you Happy Hangover?
Or if you prefer I can be first for next year.
Cheers,
Dave

The Trinity motor is likely a 27 turn single wind ‘stock’ motor. Guess based on the endbell being held on by the crimped tabs. Modifieds generally have the endbell attached by 2 screws. Thinking the same for the other motor, don’t see any screws. Of the speedos I would go with the Tekin, unless you ...

Many of our local tracks run 7 or 10 minute mains on club days. Don’t think it changes the running order much in most cases, but obviously understand the more value concept. Added to the warm up laps, which still make me chuckle, really quite a bit more than the 4 of the day. With nary a practice st...

Re: where has this girl been all of life?
Guess we now know where those little old ladies with the 400 cats, generally with no sanitation, come from.
Had one in our area a while back, they had to demolish the house, wasn’t salvageable.

Re: Gear ratios for a 6 gear brushless
OK, still need to know which brushless motor it is. This is critical to gearing.
Oh, and a general description of use and running surface can help.

Hey wait a minute, the truck at the bottom left of page 2 looks very familiar….hummm.
Thanks for posting, been looking for my copy for a while to show my Team Driver (me son). Somewhere buried in the trophy boxes is one from the event too.

Re: Gear ratios for a 6 gear brushless
Which Novak brushless motor? I’m guessing you have a fairly fast one, and it’s trying to pull more amps than you 6 cell can provide. What battery, age, etc? Might need a better battery, even with gearing changes (or a motor change). Oh, and how freely does the 6 gear run?

Re: Hydradrive on a stealth problem/question
Whoa...first of all what is a Hydra drive and how does it improve your tranny? It’s like a lock up torque converter from a full size automatic transmission. The interior rotor and the housing have vanes and it’s filled with thick shock fluid. It was combined with a typical friction disk slipper, pa...

Re: Losi XXXT
We have a first generation XXX-T and a couple of the latest CR versions. I might be a little biased, but I think overall they are very competitive. The Losi shocks are a little easier to deal with to get them right (AE fans post your abuse & legal threats as desired  ). Out of the box the ...
