On a side note, Gil Losi Sr & his wife purchased the house in 2009 for $2,000,000! Must be nice.
They even have a track at their house.

Re: Sad Losi news, and a safety reminder
Truly sad. I'd love to know more details though. I have seriously never heard of anyone I actually know having any lipo issues. Anyone know of any first hand accounts of fire? Just curious. I’ve seen/am aware of a few. Mostly smokers thankfully. All appeared to be in car damage or short of some sor...

Re: WIIIIIDE Onroad Body, Any Hope? Please help
If you do want to narrow it up by shortening the rear lower links, there's at least one easy way: Build new links from turnbuckles and Du-Bro captured ball ends. It’s how many adjusted rear toe. Might need to shorten the sliders some too. Also there were foam wheels made for a direct fit, well assum...

Re: Pizza delivery!?
That’s odd Jason. In my experience, wait, I didn’t phrase that right, from what I’ve heard, yeah that’s better, it shouldn’t be hard finding a pizza buyer at a University. From what I remember, ah damn, I mean from what I’ve overheard, it shouldn’t be hard to find someone who would suddenly remember...

Re: First Track?
My first race was at an off road track in Alliance Ohio, can’t remember the name. 1989. Introductory series Losi JRX2 with a Proformance kit. Still have it, and most all of the equipment. Earlier I had watched some indoor oval carpet races at Lafayette Indiana (near hometown) and an off road track s...

Re: How to set up Airtronics XL2P with Novak T4
Good points. In case you’re not already aware the wiring order wasn’t standardized between radio brands long ago. You could easily have a T4 wired for a different radio system. Since your steering servo works perhaps the easiest thing to do is make sure the T4 wiring order matches up with the steeri...

Springs aren’t involved in cornering? What about roll stiffness?

Re: Opening an indoor track.
A suggestion for an off road carpet track, don’t believe I saw this mentioned: Require tape on the bottom of the chassis to cover the screw heads. Keep a few rolls around the pits even. The combination of the fairly hard track and high speeds due to the traction levels can be hard on off roaders, an...

Re: Sanyo KR-1700sce saddle pack restoration
Quick question on this restoration project, as I'm about to solder up a couple of old sanyo battery packs from matched cells. Can I ask what you used to connect each battery? Is that the resoldering braid referred to? Are there specific connection parts/resolder braids for making these packs up (I'...

Re: The uglyness spreads....
I wish the cab forward bodies didn’t work, as I find them horrendous. But sadly I’ve seen a fair amount of evidence that they do seem to work with a variety of respected racers. In the Vintage spirit, aka the more things change the more they stay the same, I’ve always remembered this letter to the e...

Re: 1st jrx-t toy
No doubt. The MIP tranny can work really well, but be careful with the adjustment. In my experience the combination of using a normal bearing for the thrust and belleville spring washers make the adjustment a little more critical than some.
