Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
I pre-ordered a red one today. Perfect or not, I'm very excited for this as my first real race R/C was a JRX-2!
Hopefully we'll see a JRX-T version next!
Thanks Losi! And bring on the 1/10 versions next please!

Re-Dyeing Faded Wheels
So I picked up some wheels for my JRX-T project off Ebay, a full set of each orange and wild red. I could tell from the pics they were pretty beat up, but I think they will clean up good enough for a runner. They are however more faded than I was hoping for. Has anyone had any luck re-dying wheels b...

Re: Brushless/Lipo vs Brushed/ NiCd
Thanks everyone! I'll probably end up using a 21.5 and playing with gearing to get the speed about right.
And pics will be in this thread......

Re: Brushless/Lipo vs Brushed/ NiCd
Ok, so first off I know these are like apples to oranges, but.... I just started working on rebuilding a JRX-T runner and I'm already think of what to power it with. I want to go with modern electronics, but keep the truck a similar speed to what it was back in the day. So what I'm asking is... Wha...

Re: Finally got a JRX-T
It doesn't appear to have had any counter sinking done so the 4-40 screw sits flush at the bottom of the chassis. I'm considering filling the hole with JB Weld and re drilling just to be safe. We'll see. Unfortunately nothing special inside the gear box. Not even the ball bearing diff gear. Is that ...

Re: Finally got a JRX-T
I dont really want to use the rpm bellcranks. Think I'll have any problems with using the original 4-40 screws... 20220119_130406.jpg 20220119_130502.jpg 20220120_160425.jpg Looks like plenty of meat there since the previous owner only opened up the holes a bit and didnt countersink for the bigger s...

Re: Finally got a JRX-T
[/quote] This is kind of confusing but both are PA12 , versatile plastic is laser sintered plastic powder (PA12) and what they call PA12 is the same plastic but is printed with MJF (multi jet fusion) where they spray powdered plastic powder with two chemicals , one is inert and the other heats up un...

Re: Finally got a JRX-T
If you want to run into then get the Shapeways 5 link , home printed eBay parts can be a mixed bag and won't be as strong , if it's a shelf car then not such a problem . Thanks, yes it's gonna be a runner. Granted it won't get run a lot and won't be raced but it will get driven. Which is better the...

Re: Finally got a JRX-T
Nice, yup 5 link an absolute must! Nice score tho Thanks! It was a "buy it now" and I figured if I hesitated it might be gone lol. It seems to be in really good shape overall. The Pocket Rocket stock motor was a bonus. I had one of those back in the day! It also has RPM steering arms, rea...
