Re: “Carpet Racers” Fox News

Yah Anvil is an amazingly well done doc - it really pulls you in and makes you root for them. One of my faves!

Re: “Carpet Racers” Fox News

Hmm.. Doesn't look like a great documentary to me; or at least the trailer is weak. Seems to go for all the cheap shots...? The guy with missing teeth, the bored trophy models etc and doesn't really tell a story. But I'd still like to see it. Just saw the trailer for a documentary for another of my ...

Re: RC Nissan Sentra commercial

Ah yah; totally forgot about that classic spot with the 300z!

Very cool!

And yah I agree about the wheels in the new one; they could have done better to match the stock wheels.

Re: RC10 buggy to truck conversion

I like my RC10 truck conversion. It drives great. Biggest weakness is the suspension travel in the front. But it is fun to drive and is quite fast. The CRP Blackfoot wheels to RC10 adapters are available on eBay; I just had to buy a set to replace the ancient ones on my RC10 truck conversion: http:/...

Re: Post your cheap prices on tech stuff here

I bought my Thunder AC6 through Amazon from Xheli (http://www.xheli.com/) which is based here in California. So I knew if it didn't work it would be easy to send it back if necessary. Thankfully I didn't have any issues; bummer that yours was DOA. Quality control obviously isn't the greatest on the ...

Re: XXX Kinwald Edition buggy

I just picked up a XXX BK1 runner on ebay. It definitely has a different transmission than my XXXT graphite. The A arms are surprisingly different as well; it is much narrower than the XXXT.

Haven't had time to look into it too much but I'll post pics of both my Losi XXX cars when I get the chance.

Re: Post your cheap prices on tech stuff here

Yah I have that Thunder AC6 Charger and it works great for me. I found the software that it comes with is basically useless however. Here is an eBay auction for a cheap brushed ESC from Hong Kong that I bought for a basher, works great so far with a 17t motor; no issues. $14.32 USD shipped. http://i...

Re: Losi XXXT

I picked up a used brushed XXX-T graphite on eBay a while ago and I love it. It really flies, and is very well built. I haven't broken anything on it yet. <knock on wood> Transmission is smooth, steering is tight.

Haven't owned a T4 so I can't offer you much insight there.

Re: Wheels for an original Blackfoot

Anyone know what the front axle size is for the Blackfoot / Sand Scorcher? My RC10 has the CRP Blackfoot front axle adaptors; just curious what the size is in case there are any other wheels that could fit... Saw the mention of 5x11 bearings, meaning the axle is 5mm? I have the plastic RC10 to Black...

Re: Turnbuckle / ball cups / ball studs

Ok here is what I have come up with - Associated Adjustable Tie-Rod Set Turnbuckle # 6529 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX2540&P=ML Associated Ball Stud Short Black .300" TC4 # 3983 (I figure the short balls might help with any clearance issues I may encounter - the c...

Turnbuckle / ball cups / ball studs

I need some suggestions and part numbers to replace all my turnbuckles / ball cups / and ball studs for my RC10 (graphite mid motor / andy's a-arms). The previous owner of the RC10 graphite truggy conversion thing I picked up on ebay installed some funky turnbuckles that have a ball with a hole thro...

Re: Transmission tips?

Ok, now a full Thorp 48p gear conversion kit has appeared on ebay; kit includes outdrive, idler and differential shaft gears... I still haven't had time to take my transmission apart to see what is lurking inside. Here is a photo of the item on ebay; is the seller here on this message board? http://...
