Re: Flea Market Pick-Up
Thanks for the information xanadu , these were all the parts left in the box after cleaning out the parts tree , toothbrushes and paper clips . I also had a chance to rebuild the Rc10l over the weekend . Started by stripping of all the green paint on the car , that then left some previously dyed dar...

Re: Ducati Riders?
This is my 1989 Yamaha Fzr400 , bought it a year later as a leftover model . I haven't ridden it in about 2 years , someday I'll give it a tune-up and get on the road again . Would like to get a Ducati 748 or 916 one day , but am worried about the rocker arm issues . Its still on my wishlist though ...

Re: Flea Market Pick-Up
Oops , sorry scr8p , better pictures would help identify the cars . Here pictures of the two on-road cars and the rc10t . Looks like they have been sitting in the garage or outdoors for awhile , most of the screws on the underside are completely rusted . The 10t does have Rpm rod ends , transmission...

Flea Market Pick-Up
Looked liked it was going to rain this morning and almost decided not to go to the flea market . Its been a long time since I found anything decent there but came across this box mixed together with several Tyco cars for $20 . Looks like a good mix of cars and parts ,of course I will have to clean o...

1/8 Scale Bodies
Went on a trip to the hobby shop to find a body for my clodbuster and saw these sitting on the counter . Yes , I know they wont fit on the clod :D but they were marked $5 plus an additional 70% off . Being an F1 fan and cheap , I couldnt pass them up at $1.50 each even though I have no idea what the...

The brushed motors are also disappearing , wish I would have bought some of the Team Checkpoint motors that Tower was discounting for $19.95 .

Re: HPI RS4 Pro
I have a soft spot for the RS4 series myself , it was also my first introduction to 4wd cars. This is the RS4 Pro I bought when it first came out , later added the 2-speed transmission and belt tensioner . Here a picture of the RS4 Pro and Pro 2 with some upgrades , another difference is the Pro 2 h...

Almost done , just have to paint the bottom covers . I used the electronics that came with it and took it for spin . Runs very well and picks up good with the slot machine motor .

Re: jay halsey replica (updated)
Wow , nice build . How do you get the front hole for the body perfect like that , because the body post comes out at an angle I never get it right . End up with an oval or a large hole in the body .

Re: My $3 Truck
Thanks for the help with the decals but unfortunately the body is cracked in many places . I would hate to waste a good sticker sheet on it , will probaly just use some left over decals from other bodie's. Started to cleaned up the chassis , replaced the missing screws and fixed the steering link . ...

Re: My $3 Truck
Thanks for the information guys , figure I would start on the body first . Unfortunately it was painted several colors on the outside and inside . I stripped all of the paint off ( ahh.. the smell of vintage Testor enamel ) the outside and resprayed the inside black . The gray windows are actually d...
