Matrix Tech motor

Hi everyone. Still going through my old stuff. What’s the deal with Matrix Tech motors? I have this one but can’t find any specs. I see a green one on eBay but that’s it. Label on it says:
- part number 5718
- 18x4
- 27000rpm
Same specs as posted above.
Actual dyno run data on a sticker (performed not by me): 29800rpm, 162w, max. efficiency 73.8%.

Yours looks like a higher end version. Nice.

Re: Futaba servo on RC10 GTC build

I can check off that off my list. Nope, not going to race. It’ll be a semi shelf queen with fun runs here and there.

Are they pretty tough units? Do they need rebuilding?

Futaba servo on RC10 GTC build

The graphite team car I’m semi-restoring has a Futaba s131sh. Very little info about it or dead links. The forum has a few posts but mostly equipment lists. from what I know so far: 1. It’s a good servo for the era 2. Matches the timeframe of the car Any reason to change to another servo? 2A481659-4...

Novak Polaris

This Novak Polaris was in my box of stored RC stuff. I did find a few threads about it but not much of performance. I'm trying to use mostly vintage electronics for my RC10 graphite team runner restoration. How good is this unit compared to period standard AM receivers? Is it generally period correc...

Re: Project RC10 graphite…team car?

I found some of the extra parts that came with the car. The round indentations behind the Tekin is a dead giveaway.

Best things I see are the ESC and cover. Motors look beat.

Re: Project RC10 graphite…team car?

That’s how much I know at the moment. I thought the battery strap was a goner. But looks like it’s something I can reuse and is correct for the car.

I’ll inquire about those shock collars. I like the original look.

Re: Project RC10 graphite…team car?

This is all great info for a new guy. I’m eating it up!

How about:
- shock collars
- replacement front and rear battery mounts

Re: Project RC10 graphite…team car?

A piece of K&S #83060 aluminum tube cut to length will teplace that bent wing tube just fine. But that rear shock tower looks like it might be cracked. It might need replacement or upgrade. . Yep good eye. The rear tower is damaged. Aluminum tube tip noted. What about the RPM steering setup. Is...

Re: Project RC10 graphite…team car?

Good call! I’m giving the kids my real bashers…and maybe doing the Traxxas thing. So that’s pretty neat! It’s headed to be a restored runner then. I thought maybe it could be a Team car based on what’s left of it. Going to do some more research on parts and other cars posted here. Need to see what “...

Project RC10 graphite…team car?

Hi everyone!! New guy here and excited to get back into RC with my kids. I’m in my 40’s so these buggies were my first love. I’d watch my neighbor for hours jumping his RC10 on the sidewalk. My parents got me a first gen Ultima. Loved it. Lol. Later, I got into nitro and vintage Tamiya before the ki...
