It looks to me to be a Bosscat Comp (red side plates) but has the works chassis and shock bodies.

Re: Advice on how to prep a schumacher cougar 2 works chassis
If you scotchbrite it, it will never ever annodise back to how it looked when it left the factory. The damage already looks done though so you may as well go for it. You would have been better off chemically treating it before going at it mechanically. Annodising can removed acid soaking but you loc...

Re: Nice cougar 2 with carbonfibre tubchassis
They were fibre-lyte (Hansell composites), I remember them and they were ~£80! I had a Lazer ZXR-R one and recently emailed Fibre-lyte to see if they would reproduce one. TBH they came straight back to me and said they had searched but couldn't find the ZXRR mould and would have happily made me one....

Re: Need to see your wheel mounting hubs. have yoke problem
Sorry for the bump steer - I just checked and all the SST's seem to run hex drives.
It's Cat XL/S/Procat/Bosscat wheels only from what I can see!
I remember you could get all sort of adapters back in the day but I can't find any now. BORMAC or Minichamps are best to advise on all things Schumacher!

Re: Need to see your wheel mounting hubs. have yoke problem
The later on road cars like the mission and mi series run hexes. The only on road schumacher cars which may have been different was the Schumacher SST or the earlier Bosscat based tourer.

F.A.O: Mr ED, c.f. polishing alloy, Best to use duraglit or brasso wadding and it comes straight up. it takes Aluminium a longish time to oxidise and dull and when this happens its readily buffed back to shineyness. Annosdising is just an accelerated oxidation process using electro-plating which dye...

Re: Who made this and is it worth anything?
That's looks a yoko version of my old Cat-XLS 'PK' Chassis. The saddle pack battery holders are identical and just bolt in. We used to have lots of holders and glue our cells into them. then you simply bolted cells in and out between heats. The cat version came with a topdeck which was like a standa...

What's Nitro and what else takes off paint without harming the Lexan. I know acetone sure takes it off but it kinda clouds the lexan and makes it more brittle.

Re: YZ-10 Dogfighter
Well it's mine now! The little b*stard has lost my parts box full of vintage parts including my kyosho gold shocks, new mid lwb bod and undertray and lots and lots of odd bits and pieces. I've taken the yok as recompence! It's in decent shape too as only ever ran indoor with an undertray. Graphite c...

YZ-10 Dogfighter
Looking for some Mid parts at my brothers house,
I found an old YZ-10 rolling chassis and all the Nylon parts are hot pink. Is this some sort of special?
