Re: AI and the RC10Talk forum

I got suspended in 7th grade for bringing a calculator to school. The teachers told me calculators would cause students to not learn and be dumber.

Re: AI and the RC10Talk forum

AI is a pretty generic term and I think it is perceived or interpreted broadly. And often associated with use cases, despite it being more like a science or a discipline. The public understands AI from tools like ChatGPT and news articles, which as we know tend to sensationalize for the monies. But ...

Re: AI and the RC10Talk forum

AI is a tool, just like an abacas or a slide rule or a calculator or a microprocessor or a computer or a cell phone. We'll know the cultural lag is over when we think of AI like we think of these things. I don't think anyone wanted texting. Or email. Or the Internet. The poor guy riding his horse th...

Re: Letting the air out of a 6016 and 6020 kit sealed since new

I'd be lying if I didn't admit to cracking a few open myself. Interesting to see the batt in 2 halves. Or was that an illusion? Pretty sure the other 6020 that I did open up had the battery with the halves bonded together somehow. I'd go look, but a forum member bought the batt. I also don't recall ...

Re: Anyone remember this RC10 history table?

I just remembered I could use the wayback machine to show the page. Although the images are not cached for some reason. https://web.archive.org/web/20100730065259/http://www.theshreves.com/rc_stuff/rc10history.htm And here is the now defunct RC10 Wikipedia page on the wayback machine https://web.arc...

Re: Anyone remember this RC10 history table?

I used to work for a national and later global service provider. Of lots of things, but one of them was kind of a tailored internet service for business. We also provided collocation services. I worked in the engineering group that ran the network. For funsies, I put together a server and put it in ...

Re: ID these rear arms, carriers from RPM

No markings other than RPM. I just put them on a Pro-SE and they are are a perfect fit for inner hinge pin, length, and shock mount position in 2 axis. And it sure looks like they would mount the shock in the remaining axis if I installed the spacer (that I don't have) between the tranny and the sho...
