Re: upper shock mount bushing - jrx
Yes indeed. Just placed an order with him a couple weeks ago. Many of his items are out of stock, however.

Re: upper shock mount bushing - jrx
Thanks. Yes I’ve been reviewing a number of build threads to get inspiration. Problem these days is parts availability. Everyone knows NOS parts for jrx buggies have insane prices by dealers looking to get rich. I’ll just take my chances with modern parts retrofits. If they don’t fit, I just return ...

Re: upper shock mount bushing - jrx
I agree regarding aluminum on aluminum galling. But the ones I was interested in were by Avid RC. They use a sleeve over the aluminum post. https://www.amainhobbies.com/avid-rc-tlr-22x4-ringer-shock-standoffs-4-avd10109-22x4/p1450396 Since I am not familiar with the new TLR 22x line of shocks, I was...

Re: LRM slipper upgrade parts
Well, I ordered all the necessary parts already from all over the web and now i just need the A-3120 shaft. After that I should be ready to assemble. I ended up using an 86T Losi 22 Kevlar spur since the article says anything from a 22 will work. at $7 for Kevlar impregnated plastic, it was worth it...

LRM slipper upgrade parts
Hi everyone, Well, as the builds progress for the Pro and Pro SE, I am still locating parts. My Pro SE is complete with a completely restored slipper and hydra drive, but for my Pro I am looking to add a slipper that has a little more capacity than the original. Unless I can find a complete original...

Re: My "New" JRxPro SE Build thread
I stripped and recoated the links and ball studs for my pro and pro se last night using a Caswell black oxide system. It works great as long as parts are thoroughly clean and dry. Does anyone know a place where I could get titanium upgrades in 4-40 if I want to make the switch? I already purchased a...

Re: Jrx shock cap orings
Appreciate the dimensions. At the $5 for 50 price on Amazon, my great grandkids would have replacements. Thanks for the voice of reason. https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Rings-Nitrile-Rubber-Diameter/dp/B07FRDHVHX/ref=mp_s_a_1_4_maf_1?crid=27RZ1NRNEWQJ7&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.SH1PszgxckM9V9DXn8pqRxWyiCOy...

Re: Jrx shock cap orings
Looks like those o rings are really hard to find now. Crazy prices for what remains. Maybe I’ll just use teflon tape

Re: Jrx shock cap orings
Thanks. Are you suggesting I get the A5006 kit and just use the o rings from it? Truthfully that’s all I need. I am thinking an alternative might be a thin band of Teflon tape? The orings are very very small in their thickness

Jrx shock cap orings
Anyone know where I can find the really thin orings used inside the shock cap? I searched all over last night and found nothing. I think it’s same size for all Jrx models. I came across this kit but wasn’t sure if it included the oring. Any help? https://www.amainhobbies.com/losi-double-oring-shock-...

Re: Looking to switch to Li-ion battery
I just went through this exercise on my pro SE. I literally returned 3 batteries to aMain after experimenting. Even the lipo pack from gens ace intended to mimic an old style SCE/SCR pack was too long and too tall. I finally found A ruddog 3600 mah pack (NiMH) that fit like a glove. Eventually I fou...

Re: My "New" JRxPro SE Build thread
Photos of finished electronics. Tekin RSX Pro and g4 motor combo. LRM high speed fan. Ruddog 3600mAh NiMH battery. The only battery I could find that fit properly. Added NOS RPM ESC shelf. Will be installing Jammin’ steering enhancement kit soon. Hopefully I will also find ball bearing bellcranks an...

Re: My "New" JRxPro SE Build thread
IMG_6256.jpeg IMG_6251.jpeg IMG_6253.jpeg Did a few more things yesterday while I wait for parts. Completed assembly of the hydra drive by piecing parts together from eBay finds. Forgot about the silver spring. Had to purchase that separately along with a rebuild kit. Filling it up was no easy task...
