Re: brushed motor recommendation for 6-gear?
Thank you. Just what I was looking for. My Novak ESC still works, but it doesn't have reverse... can you suggest a decent "sport" ESC that would suit the Raedon 19T?

brushed motor recommendation for 6-gear?
I haven't bought a new brushed motor in ages, but my old runner motor finally bit the dust. I'm not up-to-date on all the brands and specs, etc. Can someone offer a recommendation for a very basic brushed motor for some back yard fun that would run on 6 nimh cells with an old novak esc? I'm hoping t...

removing rust from "new" parts and polishing aluminum, tips?
I just got some old stock NIP transmission parts that have rusted in the package over time. I've read about using vinegar, WD40, CLR, etc. Is there any consensus on a good way to get rid of the rust? Do I need to do anything to the parts after removing the rust to prevent it from coming back - I rec...

Re: best current option for new .71 and 1.32 shock set
Related question - can anyone confirm if the older 1.32 gold shock body part number 6424 is interchangeable with the newer RC10 Classic 1.32 shock body part number 6446? They appear to be identical from what information I can find.

best current option for new .71 and 1.32 shock set
There's a lot of older threads discussing this, but various parts have been discontinued over time. Anyone have recommendations for the best options for buying a new set of .71 / 1.32 set of shocks that actually match (or are close to matching aesthetically)? Do the 1.32 threaded RC10GT shocks work ...

Re: RC10 Classic back in stock temporarily... interesting
Very odd indeed. Perhaps they were just looking for additional revenue for their web store, but I have to wonder if the re-re project was less successful financially than expected. Yeah, the idea that they were "begging" to get these cars back from dealers is just so strange. What motivat...

RC10 Classic back in stock temporarily... interesting
Anyone else notice this on Associated's website? They have some RC10 Classic's back in stock "temporarily". "After literally circling the globe, with a layover in Europe and major negotiating (aka begging) by our Sales Manager for the opportunity to buy these back, a small quantity of...

Anyone still selling gold anodized screws?
Does anyone know where I can get the gold-ish/yellow anodized screws that screw through the bottom of the old gold tub? I've had to return a couple orders now to different sellers because their pictures show the gold screws but what I keep getting are dark army green screws.

Bellcrank shim question
I have an aluminum bellcrank set that is essentially identical to the current world's car reissue bellcrank set minus the little shims that go under the assembly next to the chassis. I'm trying to figure out what those shims are actually for and if I would even need them. Do they stabilize the steer...

Re: Old 6-gear upgrade for brushless
Thanks for all the info. Yeah I am running the larger bearings already on the main outdrives. I haven't picked out a motor yet, but I will probably find something on the milder end.

Re: Old 6-gear upgrade for brushless
Oh bummer... The RC Car Action review mentioned "The Classic includes a 48-pitch spur gear and revised internal gears that are still 32-pitch, however, they’re made of better materials that make the buggy more brushless friendly." Maybe that was a bit of glossy overstatement on their part....

Old 6-gear upgrade for brushless
I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere - probably more than once, but my quick searching didn't turn up anything definitive. I've got an old 6-gear transmission from an original RC10 Championship Edition. I am wanting to beef it up to handle brushless so I was comparing it to the parts/manual fo...

Re: RC10 modern racer build
I then attach the nose plate to the chassis using 8/32"x1/2" screws. Then I install the Houge steering system (courtesy of Ruffy) and secure using the supplied nylon nuts. Note that I do not install the nuts first, but install them upside down. This allows me to use a shorter screw to sec...
