Re: belt conversion for chain driven optimas?

I like my shocks, tho in retrospect the kyosho golds were probably just as good. It sure intimidated the other guys I raced with, though.

Re: belt conversion for chain driven optimas?

Trimming down both of the yellow rings was exactly what I was talking about. Trim both yellow rings down to the profile of the new idler gear if it makes it the proper width. Add a shim or two. Or four. I was curious and figured others would like to know as well. The other issue, provided you have t...

Re: belt conversion for chain driven optimas?

So what if you left both the yellow rings on the optima mid idler, would it be the right width? I tried finding mine and had no luck. Even if you have to shim, as long as the shaft the idler is on is square to where the belt doesn't want to walk to the left or right, shouldn't really matter, correct...

Re: belt conversion for chain driven optimas?

As to the idler gear question, why couldn't one use a dremel or small file to trim the yellow optima mids rings down to the contour of the idler thats between them? As far as the lexan cover, if a fellow had the basic dimensions, what is to say he couldn't take a piece of scrap lexan, warm it with a...

Re: Help identify this 4wd buggy/truck

Parts for the Radiant are tough to find and the price you pay for them makes it tough to justify on a vehicle you still intend to operate, especially with the strain those larger than stock tires can cause. It's a very sharp truck, and would likely go for a fairly hefty price tag, especially with th...

The genuine Futaba 3003 servos are awful. I can only imagine the fakes being worse, not worth it to save a few dollars. Just my two cents...

Re: optima speed control resistor placement and shock towers

I think they made a change midway thru production so the Optima shock towers each have two upper holes per shock. The resistors did get moved to the rear of the car where yours are, likely to prevent burned fingers from guys picking up the car without being aware of the hidden hot resistors and to k...

Re: Anodising or Powder Coating

I agree with Kaszal. I regard powdercoating vs anodizing sort of like painting oak or other quality hardwood kitchen cabinets) vs staining and refinishing. I think powdercoating is fine for a scratched up tub that cannot be redeemed otherwise for a runner. Otherwise, tough to beat the looks of real ...

Re: Ive been FRAMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's too bad you can't show the judge the evidence from your dating site search if you are married. Around here, if you haven't lived with somebody for 7 yrs its not considered a marriage (aka common law) in any definition. If you have no kids with this umm, woman, then get legal representation. Ous...
