Re: Option House or duratrax shocks?
I wonder how the Yeah Racing shocks compare to the 3Racing shocks. The price on the 3Racing shocks is certainly attractive at about $23 for a complete set of fronts and rears. http://www.3racing-parts.com/shop/kyosho-lazer-zx5-chassis-aluminium-front-and-rear-damper-blue-color-for-kyosho-lazer-zx5-3...

Re: Need help with Turbo Ultima
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=001534853&I=LXNX95&P=K These appear to have a larger offset Yeah, I've looked at those. The only problem with them is that the matching front wheel in that set is also hex driven. In order to run those, I'd have to convert the front of my...

Re: Need help with Turbo Ultima
Sounds like the rear offset is deeper than the stock wheels. Since the stock axles don't use a pin, your use of different hexes is limited to stock. Otherwise, I would suggest using a thicker hex from Tamiya, but you'd probably run out of threads to bolt the wheel on. I actually have a set of rear ...

Re: Need help with Turbo Ultima
OK guys, another problem. I ordered a set, actually two sets, of Tamiya Astral wheels for my Turbo Ultima. The wheels work fine on the front paired with the CRP kyosho to tamiya wide axle kit. (CRP #1713) No problem on the front, but the back is another story. When I install the astral rear wheels, ...

Re: Need help with Turbo Ultima
I had to order a few more parts in order to get the ZX5 steering assembly to work, so it'll be a few more days before they show up. I'm also still waiting for the new wheels/tires to show up. I did pull off the Track Master Xcaliber tranny the other night and put the original gearbox setup back on. ...

Re: Need help with Turbo Ultima
I checked how the shocks were installed last night and they are installed exactly per the manual. They are mounted in the outer most hole on the arm and the top hole on the shock tower. This setup allows for the least amount of suspension travel, and yet I'm still popping the CVD on the right side. ...

Re: Need help with Turbo Ultima
Thanks for the info guys. I'll give it a good look over tonight and pull the shocks offs and see if one might be damaged. Now that you mention it, the shock on that corner seems to be leaking quite a bit, maybe it is damaged and allowing for too much travel. That brings me back to the question of wh...

Need help with Turbo Ultima
Hey guys. I recently dug out my old Turbo Ultima, and I'm having a few problems that I'm hoping someone here can help me with. I'm having issues with two things, sloppy steering (no surprise) and the right rear CVD constantly popping out when the suspension is unloaded. To alleviate the sloppy steer...
