Bingo, that would be it. My truck came with a msc and all of the pictures I have seen of the battery mounted mounted lenght wise have esc's.

Re: What to look for in buying use RC10's
Is it necessary to check the chassis with a straight edge or do they just bend and like the rf wheel would be 1/8 inch off the ground?

Brushed motor batteries and charger questions
The 10T I just bought has a brushed motor but no batteries or charger. What am I looking for to make my car run? New to this and have no clue.
Thnanks.

What to look for in buying use RC10's
Besides aftermarket parts, which I know nothing about anyway, are there things to look for in the basics of the buggie/truck itself? There seem to be lots of $50 or $75 units for sale and, even cheap like that, dont want to end up with garbage.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Battery location
Looking at pictures I see some have mounted their battery along the chassis instead of sideways like it says in the manual. Pro's and con's of either way of doing it?

Re: Truck and buggie differences?
Charlie stated above the truck is a stretched and widened buggie. longer arms would make it wider, but what makes it stretched?

Re: Truck and buggie differences?
How is it stretched if they use the same chassis?
