I'm running 24 tooth right now but I have a 16 as well from my old Joel Johnson Trinity. That might be too big of a step down though.

The exposed diff on the 6 gear simply needs rebuilding FAR more than the internal on the stealth. The stealth diff also works better. The other stuff is just icing on the cake.

The three screws, sounds very familiar but I can't recall the maker. Build your own, it's not that hard. I got one from Deiter and copied it and made several more. All components from radio crack. Basically you have one motor driving your "test" motor. The drive motor is wired for amp draw...

Did it for years with an XL2P. It only works with AM 27mhz if I recall. It definitely does not work with FM 75mhz. Found that out when I switched from the XL2P to the CS2P. hard to say without seeing them together but the op's "orange" chassis looks like AE's "red"

how did you determine it was a protech ? name and number molded in ?
