Well, it looks vintage anyway
Finally dropped cash on a newer buggy a little while back. Picked up a Centro C4.2. Exactly a week before Associated unveiled the B5. Anyway, there is no bodies for the Centro that aren't cab forward so i improvised. Doesn't fit to bad actually. Running a stubby savox servo, Shorty lipo, some alumin...

Re: What's The Deal With Chassis Flex?
The general consensus when i was racing full scale stock cars was that flexible cars were easy to get close with the setup. The rigid cars were a little harder to get set up but would be faster one you get there. Hopefully that makes sense. all of my cars were built as rigid as possible.

Re: Front Hex wheels advantage??
splines are ideal on larger stuff for you can precisely machine them, but on small scale stuff it gets expensive to do it right

Re: Front Hex wheels advantage??
Oh, yeah. I'm set for a long time for buggy tires. My shortcourse and stadium truck are both set up with 12 millimeter hex is all the way around. I am glad I changed those over, it makes things a lot easier. however I really don't see an advantage of the buggy.

Re: Front Hex wheels advantage??
the one thing that I'm suprised hasnt been mentioned is rotating weight. on thd old style setup all that spun was the outer half of the bearings. now its the inner half, plus the weight of the hex, and the weight of the axle and the axle nut. that does not get mentioned but you hear about lightweigh...

A Shorty lipo pack would work good there.

Kyosho rb5 bodies fit very well. Almost perfect. That's what I'm running on mine.

Re: RPM molded 10T build
Last weekend I took it down to omaha for the novak race. Omaha has a real nice indoor clay track. For tires I have 4 pairs mounted. One brand new set of green compound bar codes, one new set of panthers. Not sure of compound smaller pin, and a set of bow ties and edge fronts that were new way back w...

Re: RPM molded 10T build
The rest of the rear suspension was pretty straight forward. Associated 3 degree mounts, 0 degree T4 hub carriers and standard AE ti turnbuckles. The transmission got new rings, ceramic balls and all new gears and a V2 slipper. Nothing special out front. The old style front arms with one shock mount...

Re: RPM molded 10T build
Well its been on the track so I should do another build update. First off I found out that the wheels I used for mockup had a different offset than the jconcepts wheels I bought. I don't remember what brand they were but they are about 3/16" wider per side. On a T4 they push it right to the 13&...

Re: Need to keep the front end down
I might have to play with esc settings. Current suspension is 30 front #2 green, rear 30 #1 started with green, changed to gray. One of the guys suggested add front weight or stiffen up the rear.

Need to keep the front end down
I took my ultra molded 10T down to omaha last weekend for its first run in 10 years. 17.5 brushless no boost and shorty pack. It handled pretty good but it would not keep the front end down off of jumps. Where the buggy and short course I could just roll out of the throttle after it left the jump I ...

Re: My 10T SC conversion
Time for another update. The transmission is back in for a second time now and the battery hold down and esc are remounted again. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s19/cautrell05/RC10T/2012-12-31_00-22-22_231.jpg Back half is finished finally. Up front I made a few changes. I moved the inner tierod...
