Re: Aristo-Craft Hitec Kangaroo

Ah - that's who got that one! I was bidding on it as well. Saw that gem and really wanted it since my first ever car was also a Kangaroo. I can attest from back then that the transmission was complete junk. I have some stories about that thing and Aristocraft trying to make good on it back then. I t...

Re: JRX2 Build

Finally did put a body on this car... It's a replica of the paint job I ran on my car when the JRX2 just came out...

Re: JRX-Pro "Modern" runner...

Just an update - Here's a "body-off" pick of the JRX Pro I put together. Car is a "stock" JRX Pro with the following "modern" upgrades. I'm hoping this type of setup qualifies to run vintage racing classes. I don't know anything about rules, etc... - Team Losi threaded ...

Re: JRX-Pro "Modern" runner...

I actually have the Pro-SE slipper clutch on it already. Both diff and slipper are set properly. I actually have an Xcelorin 10.5 in it right now and it has been running pretty good out in the parking lot. I may try it in 2wd Mod class at my track with that motor in it. I need to find an RPM JRX Pro...

JRX-Pro "Modern" runner...

The photo below is my TLR 22 sitting next to the newly completed JRX-Pro I've been restoring. JRX-Pro is a "modern" runner with 2.2" tires, brushless system, and lipo batteries. It also has as many creature comforts as I could add at this point such as threaded shock bodies, ti-nitrid...

Re: JRX Pro Pistons and Springs

Ok - good insight. I was thinking of possibly gluing off a hole on a 56 piston to emulate. I found some black pistons - not the current 57's - on the shock shafts I got with the car. They almost looked like tapered or funneled holes in the piston. Not sure if those are originals or not. Looking at J...

JRX Pro Pistons and Springs

Does anyone know what the size of the original pistons in the JRX Pro were? Were they a two hole piston? Anybody know the size of the holes? I have the newer threaded shocks on my build with the newer shock pistons / springs and am trying to find a comparable setup that feels solid on the car. Anybo...

Re: How is Retro transmission dfferent

Will the retro transmission fit the JRX Pro? I'm not sure if there were any differences in assembling the rear end of the JRX Pro and the Pro SE?

No, I don't do any of my painting. I'm terrible at it. The paint job is from Bradley's Fine Line Design.

Re: TRX1

Just wanted to update - The car is completely rebuilt and road worthy. The Body is done and mounted. I'm just getting some "old" electronics together to make it a runner with an old Airtronics 27mhz radio. Here's a pic! http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j171/cwolfson30/Vintage%20RC%20Cars/...

TRX 1 and JRX Pro Runners

I'm waiting for these two to arrive at my house from Bradley Farmer at Bradley's Fine Line Designs. He does all my race bodies and I wanted these two to look the same as my current race cars since I want to have these two as modern runners. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j171/cwolfson30/Bradley%2...

Re: New Losi 22!

Chris, if you are in the know.... When does the 22 RTR hit the shelves, and what are the main differences (other than kit vs RTR)? I can't find a release date. I checked the ordering system, but nothing is listed yet. As far as differences, looks like it's mainly the gear diff and plastic shock top...

Re: New Losi 22!

Good start - check to make sure all the shocks are built correctly, with no binding. Also make sure the chassis components are moving freely without binding. Make sure ride height is set evenly from one side to the other. Sounds like on the diff that you ran it too loose on the first few runs. Run t...
