New Losi 22!
Looks like the new 1/10th 2wd from Losi is going to be a reality - with Mid & Rear motor mount options ..... still no return to a five link rear end .... Joking aside I actually think the five link or trailing arm set-up would work pretty well on a mid motored car

Re: New Losi 22!
Some very serious 1/10th 2wd racers hitting the scene, well a cat and a losi. Love the fact its got an aluminium chassis.

Wow, love the thought put into getting outside the box! Maybe it will make AE finally release a B5/T5

Re: New Losi 22!
I like the fact that the front end is basically 4wd parts. commonality right there, and maybe points to another new car being released soon in the 4wd persuasion.....
it's very interesting how narrow they made it.

Re: New Losi 22!
I actually like this, nice to see some new thoughts at Losi instead of another mini product. I bought an x-60 a couple years ago and stopped running Losi. Maybe I will go back now.
Maybe this will stop the complaining about the x-6 and x-60 in the dirt oval world. Babies claim it isn't fair because the x-6 or x-60 is not a real full production product.

Re: New Losi 22!
They have been working on this for a while apparently, and a 4wd car for a long time, too. I would bet a Durango-esque Losi wheeler is in the near future.
I love it. If I can get together some scratch this winter, it's on my short list, for sure.

Re: New Losi 22!
With the truck market dying in the US and the SC market taking over, I'm just guessing that a truck version is not a high priority on the list.

Re: New Losi 22!
Did you see the part about all the hardware is now metric? OK?! Guess I can dig out the old metric stuff I used with my Kyosho before I sold it.
The newsteering rack seems a little suspect, not sure how that will work when it starts to get all dirty, might be some binding.
I just called my local dealer and had him put my name down for one. I haven't bought a new Losi buggy or truck in about 9 years.

Re: New Losi 22!
Steering rack: see Custom Works for the last 20 years. No binding. No issues.
I would guess Losi figured it out better than CW has done with sloppy nylon molding processes, and they still worked.

Re: New Losi 22!
I recently brought a second hand Atomic Carbon CR2, which i've already spent a fair bit of money on (4 gear trans, new shell, XXX rear end conversion etc) and I haven't even ran it yet! However I will seriously consider buying a 22 if its as good as it promises to be.
Losi really nailed it I reckon when they released the original XX - you really felt that it was a fully developed product - I really hope the release of this car is a return to form for Losi. Notice how they've now associated this with a new 'TLR' brand.... R for Racing, so it looks like Losi are keen to distinguish the difference between these kits & the more 'toyish' products.

Re: New Losi 22!
as and old school losi fan this is exciting.
it does bring back memories of the xx and how that release was.
tempting for sure and maybe by february i'll be excited enough to buy one.

That was a pretty cool slideshow. Looks like they're taking performance seriously with this car.

Re: New Losi 22!
Wow that looks sweet. Maybe AE will take a hint from that and start using aluminium for their chassis again. I love the motor option. To do a mid motor b4 you basically have to buy a whole new car and spend twice as much. Looks like Losi finally got off there butts and did something. I would definitely consider getting one.
