It's curious what you can find in parts collections ...
I know I have seen these aluminium track rods before but can't remember exactly.
Traxxas, Kyosho, Tamiya ...
I think for a truck.

RCH motors - any knowledge there on company and motors?
The RCH company is not really known to me, other than they have been based in California and made option parts for 1/10 scale offroad cars. Now I saw a motor somewhere which was named as RCH as well. This motor was based on the old Igarashi can, so it is quite old. I would say maybe around early 198...

Re: Cool vintage car radio. Simprop Car Profi
Simprop radios always have had a very good reputation in R/C flight competition. But they were also some of the most expensive.
The Car Profi was the very first radio to use functions as dual rate and servo reverse in car control radios.
BTW this radio was developed along with Team SG of Italy.

Re: Cool vintage car radio. Simprop Car Profi
Just found this topic again  Got another Simprop Car Profi radio now, which seems unused. Missing the box but otherwise it´s complete. And the 27 MHz version this time. Came also with the original receiver battery and switch harness. Missing were the special waterproof Car Profi servos but the...

These offroad bodies came with some other parts. Which cars do they go for?
Kyosho, Tamiya or something else?

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I got this mini vice a couple of years ago with a parts collection.
Found it very useful for soldering connectors or holding the ballcup when building trackrods.
Now I want to buy another one for the race track toolbox. But I have no idea which brand sells that mini vice.
Any ideas?

Re: What Speed Controllers Were Available Circa 1980?
That Auto Modeller article is interesting, didn´t saw so far. Well, I personally made my own ESC when I started into 1/12 scale cars in 1978, as I didn´t like the MSC. But this doesn´t count for the question. Delta Autodrive was very interesting ESC but far from being the first. Their small 1/18 sca...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

And what size is the diameter for the hole at...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
A question for Traxxas experts. Which cars use the TRX 3166 spur gear and the TRX 4622 slipper clutch drive rings? If someone have those parts, do the drive rings work with the spur gear? And if so is it for the inner or outer circle of holes? The drive rings look similar to those for the RC10L and ...

RIP Gil Losi Sr.
Sad news.
I meet Gil Sr. and Jr. and had great results with their cars and motors.
Miss those days.

Re: Revolution Motors
The 17x3 Oval and the 19T (I think double) were the first Revolution production motors. Before them I got a 16x3 and a 18x3 prototype motor, right for our Nationals. The 18x3 was not working for me. The 16x3 was one of my fastest motors ever. When the armature burnt later, I replaced this motor with...

Re: Using 7.2V FET servos with brushless ESCs/lipos?
The instructions for the KO Propo FET 1001 says 7 cells.
So the voltage of Lipo should work OK.
