Re: My RC10GT to go brushless
Oh jeez.... ok, well you know what, I may just heed your advice. I dont know what brand I should be looking for. I just looked at the specs and the esc looked good. It's 120A, can handle 3S and has alot of programming features. The motor just looked like about the right KV rating that I am looking ...

Re: RC10T1M
I'm using jconcepts t4 mono wheels. They work and are readily available. I like your thought process on being able to run inline and trailing axle. When doing my hex conversion I wasn't super thrilled to switch to trailing, but it was the only option I knew of. If the longer cvd bone doesn't fit the...

Re: RC10T1M
sbc, nice truck. One of the better GT conversions I've seen. As an update, I have converted it to hex wheels mainly due to wheel availability and it was fairly cheap to do. I ran it a race last weekend and qualified 2nd. It was pretty hooked up compared to the other trucks, traction was limited, but...

Re: NIX10M
I must say these chassis look awesome. Love the one piece aluminum options. Wish I had the cash to get one. Maybe in the future. If these handle anything like my so so attempt at a mid motor chassis for my 10t, they are going to rock.

Re: RC10T1M
I made it to an indoor track for some practice today, and I'm pretty happy with the way it drove. Still need to work on the shock package a little more, but it was better today. There is a sporadic clicking and slight binding in the drive train that formed towards the end of the day I have to figure...

Re: old 1/4 axle to newer 3/16 axle swap
Don't forget 4 bearings as well. I think they would be 3/8 x 3/16 x 1/8. You can get them from acer or protech/amain.
I know this is obvious but it would be one of those doh moments when you realize you forgot to make that change as well.

Re: RC10T1M
Nice to know I can run the VTS slipper, but I probably stick with the T3 one I'm running now. As for the rear bulkhead I don't have any plans right now to move it. Due to my screw up with the rear arm mount holes, I would have to redo the whole chassis if I wanted to do my original plan of mounting ...

Re: RC10T1M
I did. It wasn't installed in those pics because I needed to thin out the bottom screw area to clear the RRP rear arm mount, and hadn't done that yet. I have it on there now, and its great. I love that it's rigid and gives a little extra strength to the motor mount that has a tendency to bend (at le...

Re: RC10T1M
I finally got to take the 10T1M for a spin last night. I must say it drove really quite well. Still had plenty of forward bite but really rotated well. I definitely need to work on the shock package; the truck was bottoming out way to easily. For a first outing and my first attempt at a custom chass...

Re: RC10T1M
That looks like a great conversion. May I ask where those shocks are from? The shocks are PR Racing/HobbyPro USA. I run their 2wd and 4wd buggies, and had an extra set so I threw those on there to test. The rears are a little shorter than stock but most run a limiter in the rear anyways so it shoul...

Re: RC10T1M
Thanks guys. Yeah I don't dig the GT conversions either. Seems like you would have a hard time balancing the truck left right with that layout. Also I think the electric conversion seems to move the motor a little to far forward which would in my opinion hurt the rear traction a little to much. I di...

RC10T1M
So after seeing a few of the mid motor buggy's posted on here I decided I wanted to convert mine to mid and maybe run it in the stock class that was suppose to be starting in my area. So I had some 3mm G10 to use and so I got started. I traced my tub for shape and hole location. Once traced I starte...

Re: 2015 Championship Edition re-fit Racer/Runner
Jason, looking at the link you provided, the scrub radius changes no matter what you change to be able to run B4 wheels and 2.2 tires. The only way to not change the scrub radius and run 2.2 tires is B2 rims (which are hard to come by). If you want to use the easier to find B4 wheels your two option...

Re: RC10B5
There are 2 tracks under 30 mins from Dallas. One is Hotshots, an indoor GA clay track in Marietta just east of Dallas. Traction gets high enough there to run mid-motor; they also have on-road there. The other is Sweet Water Raceway, an outdoor old school surface in a guys backyard (but is really ni...

Re: RC10B5
Got mine this past weekend...I got the Mid because the track up here is high bite...I have also put money down on a rear because we are in the process of moving to Georgia and I want to have both...Don't know what the tracks will be like down there...Thank you for putting the build on the forum...A...
