all good. thanks buddy :D ... i did decide to stick with an original brushed reedy modified competition green label sinc ethat is what my car came with originally. i found one in great working order used on ebay for $22 :D it runs plenty fast for this rebuild :D

haha the black is covering the bad black. it was originally painted black, but the paint was bad and the body was cracked in several places... i just decided to cover in some flat black vinyl i had laying around.... its temporary. i have a brand new clear body waiting for a paint job but i want some...

Silly question but where did you get the posts to put in the car with the strap to hold down the battery? Well i was able to track down and find the original model motor that came with my kit... the Reedy Modified Competition Motor and a vintage Novak 410-M5. It is still a work in progress as i have a full set of like new condition shocks due to arrive today :) here is an updated pic, however it is not ...

hehe yeah lonestar, it is costing me a total of around 200 bucks actually. the car cost about 230ish new and a new one on ebay goes for around $500 i have seen. Not that i would ever sell mine but it is in better shape than some listed for $350 that i have seen. btw last night i fabricated a battery...

actually as i went to adjust the arms i realized that they allow to adjust the wheel base. should i move them back the one position to gain that extra 1/4th inch or so wheel base?

yeah the dog bones seem to be fine. i only had to replace the front knuckles for $15, a shock rebuild kit for these shocks for $4, a dust cover for the trans for $3 and the front wheels and tires and wheels were $60 new and the rear wheels and tires were used but it great shape for $25 so i am in th...

actually i was able to find a brand new replacement pinion gear to match up to the stock spur gear and it is identical to my pinion i had. i believe it a 21T 48P if that sounds correct. i do not have it in front of me at the moment. The motor upgrade would be limited to what turns your esc will handle. i actually am needing both esc and motor and it would be great to know what pinion gear i need because it is the only mechanical part i will be missing. yeah smoke-dog we must have the same other hobby, however i am from memphis...
