thank you for the reply, the second link is exactly it, the felt seal. I didn't know if anyone here on the forum ever tried making their own. $12 + $5 shipping seems a bit excessive.

working on cleaning up an old trans, actually a couple of them. Is the replacement felt type material still available? The two pieces on either side near where the dogbones go in.

Well this is my first day and first post on the site. Very impressed so far. About a month ago I pulled my gold pan out of a box I put it in 20+ years ago. Its in need of some, make that LOTS of TLC, trans is gummed up (thats the 20+ years of grease sitting idle I presume), bearings fell apart just ...
