Funny - when I broke out the RC car on my street with my son a number of years ago (they were around 7), they all took to it quickly and respected the car immensely.
It IS about the parenting 100%

Re: b4.2 RTR...what happened to the spur gear???
Yeah, RTR isn't really 'RTR'. It just means that its been assembled but in reality you still need to check a few things and gear mesh is one of those things. Another thing is the slipper clutch settings - it may have been too tight and so when your son was mashing the gas, the gear was getting too h...

Re: WHAT Is Wanted?
Off the top of my head: 1. Something for the Hotshot. Maybe shocks, wheels, or an undertray and battery holder (like the Supershot) 2. Maybe a polished RC10 chassis 3. RC10 alloy shock towers 4. Sand Scorcher Independent Rear Suspension setup (I know there is one out there but you'd probably make it...

Re: Old 6-gear upgrade for brushless
I had a brushless in my 6 gear runner for awhile. It eventually grenaded in spectacular fashion. Internals were completely stripped. Swap to Stealth and you won't have any issues. It will be faster too.

Hey I'm on the road a lot in that area and if the other guys can't help out, I am more than willing to do so. Someone helped me out here and I'm happy to return the favour.

Re: RC10B6/D
Has anyone here pulled the trigger on one of these yet? Better question - if you buy one can it be easily converted into the other? In other words, if I got a B6, can it be made into a B6D easily with just the tranny swap?

Re: Time to pass on the collection. NOT!
I know how you feel! I have been spending all my time with my new R3 and the RC stuff has literally been gathering dust. I would like to thin the herd a bit or sell off some of the valuable / rare bits but I can't quite bring myself to do it yet.

Re: Driving Tips...
I tried a local track last year (or maybe it was the year before) with my RC10, my B44 and my T4. Without question, the T4 was the easiest to drive on this particular track because its setup the best overall. The challenge I have is that I don't really know HOW to setup the car(s) properly. Is it a ...

Re: Servos, Hitec vs. Savox.
I run the Savox low profile servos in all my cars and they work beautifully. Very fast and no glitching at all. I'm using both Spektrum stuff and the el cheapo Fly Sky stuff. Neither radio has had any issues. Truth be told, the Fly Sky seems to have better range the the Spektrum stuff and I may swit...

Re: 4600 KV stealth gearing
I'm running a 21/81 and it flies. I liked it so much I went up to a 5700 and it's just stupid fast. I've got a 7700 in my B44 now

Re: RC10B6/D
Just take my money!!! I have barely broken in my B5M and now they come out with this new car? Well, this might be just the thing I need to get back into working on RC :) Not sure which one I would get though. The B6D would likely be more my style in terms of where I would be driving but on the...
