Re: How long would it take you to build an RC10?
hmmm.... Good question. Back in the day it took me about a week to get my 6 gear graphite together. It was my 2nd RC build. These days I enjoy the build too much to rush it. I am not sure that I am at 1200 hours, but I am closer to that then the under an hour crowd here. But if it makes me happy, I ...

Congrats..
Well deserved, I am still slowly (re) building my graphite with this piece as the inspiration.

Re: Graphite Runner Build
This thread reflects almost exactly what I'm attempting to do... I'm picking up a set of Dubro ball ends when I get off work, but am curious about what you did to work out the described turnbuckle length issues on the front. I'd like to use the HD ball links all the way around, but am beginning to ...

Re: Graphite Runner Build
As I had said the back is done. Picture to prove it :D http://s8.postimage.org/9julbhs4l/IMG_1440_1280x715.jpg Not visible is the new avid bearings and the ceramic diff balls. I am especially happy about drilling and tapping the ol' 6 gear motor plate to match up to the stealth trans. So now my quan...

Re: Graphite Runner Build
Well rear end is done, and now I go to the front and find out that I never remembered to order the Associate 6259 Turnbuckles. Hopped on to Ebay and got that picked up. Should be here on Monday, and I think that I'll be up and running after that arrives... but we'll see.... Once I get that in and do...

What is this?
So in the midst of my RC10 graphite rebuild I came across a pan car chassis that was included in an Ebay lot auction that I won about 10 years ago. I am considering getting it running again, but I need to know where to start for parts. Can anyone look at the picture below and let me know what they b...

Re: Graphite Runner Build
button head screw Looks to be an 81t spur, if your running anything over a 13.5 you don't want to go smaller on the spur, so I'd Go with the button head screw. ......- Thanks gents!! I will now dig out a 4/40 button head and continue on with the build. I knew that I was missing something straight-f...

hmmmm trouble???
Alright, since I may have sentenced myself to another build due to all the extras I've order incorrectly, I decided to proceed with my original intended build and sort out the extra later. I am using the RPM RC10T rear bulkhead and Dubro heavy duty ends all around. I went with a b4.1 top shaft/slipp...

Re: Graphite Runner Build
I'll see what I can do, but I will be away from the house for most of the day. I'm in the process of selling my house and need to be away during viewings. I'm lucky enough not to have to pack up my entire hobby room. Most of my stuff is packed away, but I will dig some stuff out for you guys. Whene...

Re: Graphite Runner Build
.... I think that I am going to go with a b4 tranny in the new pan. We'll see.... You know I was thinking the other day that it might be possible to use the transmission case, top shaft, and idler from an Axial AX10/SCX10 with the diff and outdrives from a B4.1/SC10 to "easily" get a 2.6 ...

Reading comprehension costs money$$$
So, In back I am all set to go with either the BigJeepz arms or the RPM arms. Up front, I've got a problem, I now have the BigJeepz arms and they require a 10T nose. I am not really keen on cutting the chassis, so I may be going back to my original thought and going with the RPM all the way around a...
