JConcepts Illuzion Scoopless B4 body on B4.1 Worlds +8mm
I like this body for many reasons: Cab back design, better curves, and higher middle back for mounting the ESC on a tray above the battery. However I can't confirm if this body will fit the B4.1 Worlds car with the 8mm longer chassis. Anyone try it? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath...

Re: RC10 B4.1 Worlds build, when rear suspension fully exten
Well glad I can help someone with my dumbassery :) If I really looked at the picture I would have noticed the error, however I think they do a much better job with the b4.2 manual as I looked at that and it was much cleaner. And the 4.1 World's versin has a tiny piece of paper I found...after. It s...

You are not the only idiot. I noticed the same problem. Searched all over Google and found nothing. Came here to post about it and saw this thread and viola. Fixed. Thanks for posting the fix you found!

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
The trans will be interesting. If they are saying 6 gear and bl compatible it will be interesting for sure. No slipper....people are gonna have to learn how to drive again lol It has been tweaked (idler gears and maybe more), but I was told it can handle a modest BL no problem. My vintage 6 gear ru...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
Pre ordered mine! It's like Christmas 1987 all over again, except this RC10 will have bearings and an ESC (something I always dreamed mine would have). Now, what brushless motor to put in? I have a Reedy 7.5T not in use, but I think that would be too much for the car. I was told it will NOT have be...

Re: brushless rc10
Put a well built Stealth trans in it. A brushless set-up will melt that 6-gear in a heartbeat! I have a low power brushless in my gold pan with the 6 gear. No problems at all. It is a 3000kv and I have the power curve pretty easy so it doesn't give crazy torque. I do get hour plus run times ...

Re: *Parts needed to run modern 2.2 rims/tires on your rc10*
The tranny makes no difference in the tire size. You can run modern rubber with either setup. I guess my quesion was more about the arms/cvds, etc. Does the tranny make a difference for those parts? I changed my 6-gear to the Rulux wheels and followed the tips in here. The only issue I ran into was...

Re: Upgrades for a pure stock '86 RC10
I upgraded my brushed motor for an EZRUN 13T / 35AMP ESC off ebay and it made an amazing difference!! these are available through Hobbyking i believe but i got mine from HK for a steal although it took 6 weeks to get to me. I got one from hobbypartz.com for $58. WOW! The car is so much faster. The ...

Re: Reliving my childhood....
It looks great!! Nice color on the body too... :D :D Red: Metalic red from Pactra. I applied it heavier in the front than the back. That way when I backed it with black the red gets darker towards the back for a subtle color effect). White: Pactra Pearl white backed with racing white. The richness ...

Re: Reliving my childhood....(updated with picture and specs
I've since made a few changes. Getting the modern wheels took a few parts...then a few more...then a few more. Here is a detailed list for any who want to do it: Front: -B4 inline steering blocks -GT wide axels -J Concepts Rulux Wheels -bearings 3/16 x 3/8 (4) non-flanged -Dirt Hawg tires Rear -B4 r...

Re: Brushless ESC with an old school Futaba Radio
Ran it some more and with the new wheels and tires the motor is getting crazy hot (barely touch it). The ESC is also getting hot. I figure I'll put that ESC in my Super Saber (replace the resistor based speed control) and upgrade the RC10 to brushless. The EZRun systems are quite affordable and on s...

Re: Brushless ESC with an old school Futaba Radio
I just drive around the campus I live near. Some fun dirt and hills, roads, parking lots, makeshift jumps. No racing for me. Would a new radio do much more than give longer range? Thanks for the info on the brushed vs sensorless brushless system. I'm still not sure what my long term plans are. I'm t...

Re: Got my Super Sabre running again...then broke it
thanks guys. I have one on the way from a very nice forum member. If I do break more of these, where do you get them? My local shop does not carry them and cannot order them (Hobbypeople, only carry what the warehouse sells). Can't even find it on Tower Hobbies.

Got my Super Sabre running again...then broke it
I had broken the front steering arm about 23 years ago. Ordered the part from the local hobby shop and it never arrived (didn't help the guy was about 180 years old). While I waited something called the RC10 caught my eye and the SS went on the shelf. Fast forward 23 years and I have my parents ship...
