Re: The one that put Traxxas on the map. "The Cat is capable
This was my 1st hobby grade rc. Best christmas ever! I loved building it with my dad, such a sense of accomplishment for a young kid. I distinctly remember the "perfect balance for jumping" claim on the front of the box, first thing i read after i tore off the wrapping paper. That car went...

Beauty! I was hoping they would come in stock soon. I'm up in Canada so would prefer to order both at same time to keep shipping costs down.

Stealth outdrive availability?
With the re-release of the rc10 world's edition, i was hoping to grab up a new set of outdrives for my rc10t, but I have yet to see them "in stock" on the AE website. Anyone have an idea if these parts will eventually be in stock, or where i could find them? I've seen some on ebay, but not...

Re: What's up with my lipo? Need help
Lipo technology still has some hiccups, more often with cheaper packs but not always the case.
When/if i buy Lipo's from overseas, I'll order 2 just to be safe.

Re: Brushless combo recomendations
Lots of great reviews on the Toro esc's, never had one myself though. I think they're based on other "big name" manufacturers but at a cheaper price.
I've had tekin, novak, speed passion, lrp, hobbywing and castle esc's. I will not buy another novak!!!!

Re: Shorty LiPo packs- what's the downside?
I think shortys are great for 1/10 scale.
I've tried them in 1/8 e-buggies (2 shorties in parallel) and did not provide as much current as similar setup with full stick packs. They also got alot warmer during running.

We used to race indoor carpet with some sections containing smooth surfaces. Schumacher mini pins in yellow compound work great on the carpet and were good on the slick sections. Blue compound still has good grip on carpet but very little on smooth surface. Blue's last longer but aren't as good &quo...

Re: Breaking in a Green Machine 2
I think the water dipping method was more for silver can stock motors. Those brushes were so damn hard that you need the water dip just to get a good shape to the brushes so they would perform their best. I raced Tamiya M05 mini class for a couple years. If you didn't break in your sliver can for th...
