Re: Competition Plus Scans Archive

THANK YOU!!!.....and bravo!! Do you have any earlier ROAR Rev-Up mags (ie. 80's) by any chance? Great idea and great work you're doing! Totally loving this! I have a few Rev-Up issues from 87, 88, and 89. It will take some time to scan and upload them though. I'll post back in this thread whenever ...

Competition Plus Scans Archive

I put together a simple archive site with all of my Competition Plus scans here:
https://rchistoricalsociety.org/

Nowhere near complete, but I will maintain the site and upload more as I can. All issues are downloadable PDFs with highlightable text so you can copy, paste, control/f, etc.

Re: RC18R fans?

RC18 series cars are what I wish I could afford back when I was buying the Radioshack Pro-Pulse 1/18 scale buggy. Always enjoyed seeing the hop up parts for these in RC Car Action. Every once in a while I watch when they come up on ebay but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC

There's also the major issue of authenticity as some modern reproductions are carbon copies which can make them indistinguishable from original parts. That can lead to misidentification and being mistakenly bought, sold, or used as genuine vintage items. This makes it difficult for collectors and p...

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC

With all these AE re-releases it’s like drinking from a firehose. I ordered an RC10CC when it was first released, but by the time it showed up I had lost interest and passed it on to someone else. I bought a 10T on a whim and have been racing it fairly consistently for the past few months, the suspe...

For wire maybe TQwire? I just sent a message to the owner to verify.

Pure Tech Velcro straps are still made in USA:

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

Do you ever vacuum your house and hear something go "rattlerattlerattle" up the vacuum cleaner and nervously wonder... "uh oh, what was that?" Or, more specifically... Do you ever vacuum your house? :P When that happens I pretend to ignore it, I don't want to know :? Probably ju...

Re: Moto Obscura RC10B2 Worlds Prototype Replica Kit

i definitely want this kit but with the modded trans case. when will the case be available again? also how much work or how difficult is it to mod the case? The bottom of the transmission case needs to be narrowed to clear the B2 rear arm mounts, two new bottom mounting screw holes need to be drill...

Re: Moto Obscura RC10B2 Worlds Prototype Replica Kit

Do you expect to have the full kits back in stock? BTW - such a cool kit you guys produced. I don’t think we’re going to do the full kits anymore. I may make pre-modified transmission cases available for sale, but I’ve been cutting all of the motor plates by hand with an dremel and I think it would...

Re: Moto Obscura RC10B2 Worlds Prototype Replica Kit

Here’s my B2 with the proto replica kit that I raced at the Vintage Clash of Champions next to Matt Ledger’s original ‘95 worlds B2 prototype (Matt’s is on the left). It was really cool to be able to compare it with the real thing, especially since Jason and I developed the replica parts almost enti...

Re: Losi hits it out of the park again!!!!!!

I remember when the original Micro-T came out in 2006-ish, and there was a "life size" side profile of it on the cover of RC Car Action. The original one had a shock value to it that the new one is missing, maybe because it's not quite as small, or possible because the modern RC market is ...

Re: A pair of Micro RS4s.

Awesome micros! I love the purple hop up parts. That was a really interesting time for RC, sort of the first wave of micros. Electronics were finally getting small enough to be practical in minis and they were hugely popular for a little while.

Plano Phantom Pro Drawer Dividers (Free STLs)

I designed some replacement drawer dividers for Plano Phantom Pro pit boxes, both the big bottom drawer dividers, and the smaller ones for the rest of the drawers. Download STLs here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6798179 Plano Dividers.jpg Little Dividers.jpg Big Dividers.jpg 797083.png

Nice, that's a good idea! I just looked up the part number to order a set for myself, it's DTXC6171.
